It's nice to talk to real people with ADHD.
So, I'm new (just yesterday) and new to ADHD (4 months figuring it out). I'm learning so many things, my head is spinning. I've already had lengthy conversations with ChatGPT since October about it, but never with real people. Four of my family members are supportive (two might have it for sure), and the other two think, get tested before you go telling others you have it, but everything I've chatted with ChatGPT, every online test has confirmed - I have it. I just wanted to say, it's nice to speak with REAL people who have it and understand. My family isn't 100% convinced and they have no idea, really, why I say that because for most of my life I've been "too sensitive," "too explosive," "too emotional," "too controlling," "too worrying," "too hyper-focused," "too lazy," "too scattered," "too forgetful," "too disorganized" or "too hyper-organized," "too concerned over details that don't manner," and the list goes on. Finding this stuff out at 59 years young has been a God-sent; especially since I'm just about to build a business for myself (Video podcasting/writing books) because I have so many ideas, but starting is hard. I'll be asking questions here to real people. Is that okay? And, can any of you relate to family members not getting you, especially when you find out late, and your children are already young adults?
