The dental horrors continue!
Had to have surgical periodontal cleaning done, and I'm told to keep my heart rate down so I don't bleed out of my mouth. I'm gonna try a slow lift over the weekend. I'm seeing results and I dont want to backtrack again! Take care of them teeth, folks, they're a much bigger part of overall health than people realize.
Thing that must go: back injuries
Back in October, I strained my back pretty damn well deadlifting. Almost four months later, I'm still struggling with it. Any time it seems like I'm progressing in lower body, the aching starts and I'm dropping weight more and more. I know how to treat it, I know it's not a huge step backwards, but it's still quite discouraging how long this is taking. I'm just griping right now is all. This suuuucks.
What’s one way you can adjust this week without quitting on yourself?
Y'all, I fly out for a family funeral tomorrow morning at 6am. If there was ever a time to remind myself that adjusting is a skill, not a weakness, it is now. This is precisely why I write my training plan in pencil. I won't have access to a gym or my normal food options. I'll be at the mercy of airport schedules and scheduled pick-ups. Now is a time to adjust, not throw in the towel. Yesterday I picked up some travel snacks that will align with my goals. I'll walk around the airport to get steps in during my layovers. I'm also packing my swimming suit as there is a pool and hot tub (and sauna!) at the hotel I'm staying at Friday night. I saved a few Pilates and mobility workouts for the days I will be staying with family. I'm not starting from scratch; I'm just aligning my goals with my current reality.

This whole week has been one adjustment after another, and today is no different. Rather than stress that I'm not "on schedule", I'm just rolling with it. Im still moving, still eating well(ish), and doing my damndest over here. I'm sorry for you loss @Jasmine Bamlet . I hope you and your family are surrounded with love and the good memories bring you all comfort.
Celebrate!!! 🎉
Happy Birthday to @Stephanie Ivey !!!!! 🥳💗🎂

Happy birthday, @Stephanie Ivey !
Good thing I have two sets of adjustable dumbbells.
Kiddo was here (and safe!). I'm back at it after taking a week off after having an unplanned tooth pulled. I've had my wisdom teeth extracted, but this is something else. I didn't think the pain would be that mentally taxing. I loved Dig Deeper the first time, so I'm going back through it as a sort of "bulk". I feel pretty good today.

@Amanda Steele nah, my son wanted to lift, too, so he pulled the plates out of the holder.
