Mobility and foam 🥐 today
So I didn't even bother putting on actual workout clothes today. I might do a walk this afternoon, but keeping the intensity low to allow for recovery after yesterday's hard run.

@Amie Becker This is only until my husband (and home gym) make the full transition to Raleigh this spring, but I feel like I'm having to pack a new bag every time I go to the gym. I'd like to have a bag ready to go with all my essentials; I'm just so used to working out at home that I don't know what those are.😂
Oats for breakfast✅
One of my goals for this year is to lower my LDL cholesterol and one of the small habits that supports that is oats most mornings, so I'm having banana baked oatmeal with cherries and leftover jalapeno bratwurst. I also picked up the single serve microwave packets (unflavored) for this week in case I want to switch things up. I still need to make my egg white bites before I head to Raleigh this afternoon, but I'm feeling prepared and ready to tackle the second half of January!

Better late than never!
I took this morning slower since there was no team practice today. Hopped on the treadmill a little later and gassed myself out at the end to "Wait For It" from the Hamilton soundtrack! Still hit my mileage goal though and I'm feeling good heading into this week.

Rest day
I thought I posted here earlier today but it never posted! I took my rest day today and I tried to sleep in but my body and Wesley (sick) had other plans. He’s been coughing for a few days, and now has a fever. So as badly as I need a good night of sleep tonight I don’t foresee it happening with a sick kiddo with a cough and fever. Not here to complain because that’s not helpful, but to just say that when it comes down to it, there are so many times when we need a break but for some reason life won’t give us the rest. Eventually I will get it again, but wow… I am TIRED!

I was just talking to my mom on the phone about writing your plans in pencil because life sometimes just keeps getting in the way. That's why I loved the exercise we did in the goal setting workshop with planning for an ideal week, a busy week, and a bare minimum week. Success might look different each week, but the progress can still happen if you continue to show up however you are able in that moment. Sending healing vibes and sleep your way!
