Howdy
I’m 48 years old and new to calisthenics. My goal is to be in my prime going into my 50s and beyond. In early 2024 I was in bad shape. I almost passed out digging a trench at work. I had to hold my breath to bend over and tie my shoes. I was at 260 lbs and felt like I was on the downhill slide. April 15 2024 my wife and I made a change to our eating. No more junk. No more processed food. We started eating a low carb Whole Foods diet. We started going to the gym in June. By October I was 190 lbs and feeling great! Off of all prescription meds. I don’t mind lifted weights, but it honestly doesn’t intrigue me. I saw a guy do a muscle up and that got my interest. Weight lifting is just adding more weight. Calisthenics unlocks new skills to achieve along the way. I’m goal oriented kind of guy, so calisthenics are right up my alley. I’m excited for the future. Trying not to rush the basic skills, but also wanting to progress at a good pace. Glad to be here and hopefully can learn a thing or two and keep motivated.

Hi hi
Hi everyone ! I’m new to the calisthenics world but I have a gymnastics background so hoping to make some progress quickly ! Mostly interested in unique and hybrid training and learning about differences in techniques ! Thanks for having me ! My IG is @ely.active and my current goal is a Planche but my skill(s) to master would be different one arm handstand shapes !
