Questioning DVLA
I have long been concerned about the practice whereby the DVLA releases registered keeper data, based on vehicle registration numbers, to private parking companies. As I understand it, this system effectively allows any company that is a member of the British Parking Association (BPA) to claim that a vehicle was parked on private land and to pursue a private parking charge on that basis. In practical terms, BPA membership appears to grant such companies access to DVLA data and, consequently, the ability to issue parking charges that carry an appearance of legal legitimacy. My concern is that the DVLA does not appear to verify whether these companies are operating lawfully in practice. In particular, it is unclear why the DVLA does not check whether parking signage is correctly positioned, clearly visible, compliant with relevant regulations, or sufficient to form a valid contractual agreement with motorists. Given that the existence, clarity, and legality of signage is fundamental to any alleged parking contract, the absence of verification raises serious questions about how โ€œreasonable causeโ€ is assessed before personal data is released. Without such checks, there is a clear risk that vehicle keeper data is being disclosed to companies whose signage, land authority, or contractual practices may be defective or unlawful.

Hello everyone, I need some advice and guidance on what steps I should take to avoid getting myself into further trouble. Two years ago, I started my courier business and took out a ยฃ20,000 loan from NatWest Bank to buy my own van, insure it, tax it, and cover initial running costs such as fuel and basic living expenses. My monthly repayments were ยฃ437, which I paid without any issues. However, as the economic situation worsened, I began struggling to cover my essential expenses, although I continued making loan payments. I contacted the bank to explain my financial difficulties and requested a temporary reduction in repayments. I offered to pay ยฃ150 per month. The bank refused my offer and informed me that my account would be transferred to their recovery team (I am not entirely sure what this means). After that, I started receiving intimidating letters stating that debt collectors may contact me in the near future. As a result, I reported NatWest to the Financial Ombudsman Service. My main questions are: - What did I do wrong, if anything? - What should I expect if the Financial Ombudsman does not support my case? Thank you for your time and advice.

@Ant Phoenix thank you man for this information. Well, I've been around this case more then 6 months. Also, when they asked, why I don't go work as employee, I have a limited health issues, where I cannot attend to work in to full time. Have a pip claim, as my part of disability.
Loan from 'NatWest'
In September 2024, I took out a ยฃ20,000 small business loan with monthly repayments of ยฃ437.13 over a 5-year term. Due to my business underperforming, I contacted NatWest at the end of March 2025 to request help with affordability. During several phone calls, I requested either: - a temporary payment holiday, or - an affordable reduced payment of ยฃ150 per month. NatWest refused to negotiate, ignored my offer, and transferred my account to their โ€œRecovery Teamโ€ without providing any support, despite being fully aware of my financial difficulty. What next steps i shoud take, because bank will pass my case to their 'recovery team' ?
ULEZ, CAZ confusion
Hello everyone, is there a legal way to avoid paying all these ULEZ charges in cities? My point of confusion is that my van was manufactured in 2015 and, at that time, it met emission standards and was perfectly safe to drive. However, after Cu..nt Khan took power, I have to pay a fee every time I enter London, Newcastle, or Birmingham. The fee is ยฃ12.50 for London, ยฃ12.5 for Newcastle, and ยฃ8 for Birmingham. I don't know why I have to do this, as they say it's for "clear air", but I don't see how my money makes the air cleaner. For example, on end 80's, beginning of 90's many car manufacturers made cars with folding front lights, after 2000's, this kind of desing been banned for pedestrian 'safety' reasons. But till now, you still can drive, sell this vehicles. You only cannot make them anymore. If my van, car met emission standarts when vehicle been made, why i have to pay now?

Parking Charge Notice - claim withdrawn
Smart Parking Limited and its agents withdraw claim at court. Thank you Peter Wilson. The counterclaim based on the breach of data protection act works and is effective. I will be withdrawing my counterclaim, any opinions?
