Throwback Thursday
As I sit waiting to board the ✈️ to visit my family, (my nephew turns one 🎂🎉) I’m thinking about a conversation I just had on the bus to the airport. A vibrant 71-year-old woman who’s headed to Paris )to say I’m jealous in an understatement) shared with me that she’s noticed changes in her feet and that she can’t stand on one leg the way she used to. She wasn’t worried. She was aware. And that matters. When we both get back I’m going to be helping her more. Balance, strength, and stability don’t disappear overnight they shift slowly. Often, the feet are the first place those changes show up. ✨ The body gives us information long before it gives us pain. ✨ Awareness is wellness. Noticing is powerful — it opens the door to movement, support, and prevention. So inquiring minds want to know! Have you noticed any changes in your balance or stability over the years? No judgment. Just awareness. 👣💛

Definitely noticed a difference, and a positive change back since I started using essential amino's, extra protein, and supergreens + collagen (I feel these made the biggest difference), combined with a daily exercise during my teeth-brushing. This is something I heard on Mel Robbins' podcast, to practice balance. So I stand on one leg, for a minute/minute and a half and end off with 3 knee bends. Then the other leg. I noticed that for example with putting on socks etc, my balance is stronger than it has been for years, and also getting up from the couch I now easily do and from my legs with no extra help or wobbles. (PS gif for fun, this is not how I stand obvs)
💗Self Care Saturday
Self-care isn’t indulgent —It's HEALTHCARE after all the truth is… no one else is going to put you first if you don’t. You can’t pour from an empty bucket! Your body, your feet, your nervous system will let you know when it’s running low this is your threat bucket. Your feet are a mirror of your health, reflecting stress, movement, nourishment, rest, and how much you’ve been carrying physically and emotionally. ✨ Rest when you need it ✨ Nourish what’s depleted ✨ Honor what your body is asking for ✨ A pause✨ A breath✨ A moment of awareness Because awareness is wellness. Today isn’t about fixing anything. It's about listening. Because when we understand what our body is communicating, we can support it more intentionally. 👉 What’s one small way you’re caring for yourself and putting yourself first today body, mind, or sole? Even noticing counts. 👣💛

@Dawn Durocher yes, it was a wonderful afternoon!
Throwback Thursday
There was a time before I became part of the sandwich generation…Before caregiving, responsibility, constant thinking about everyone else’s needs. I remember fun. I remember calm. I remember not living on a hamster wheel. Life shifted as it does for so many of us 💕 and my body felt that shift long before I had words for it. Tightness Fatigue. Always “on.” Always bracing. Here’s what I’ve learned:✨ The body remembers who we were before survival mode.✨ And that calm, grounded version of us isn’t gone we can reconnect to ourselves Not all at once. Not by going backward But by listening … 👂 and choosing awareness again. 👉 If you’re part of the sandwich generation (or have been), what’s one feeling your body remembers from before and one small way you invite a little of that back now? You’re not alone. 💛👣 Right now I’m choosing some fun things to do again!! What about you?

One super fun thing we did last week: I went on the sled! 🛷 We had a huge pile of snow in the Netherlands, last time we had this much was 15 years or so ago. So I asked my husband to pull me (and I pulled him for a bit as well). 🙌 Inner child mode activated. 😂 We went out two days in a row. PS if you’re in a snowy area, have you heard of the snow face challenge?
Welcome

👣Feet Are Talking!! Tuesdays👣
Our 🦶 are talking to us LONG before the rest of the body starts shouting. Pain, tension, swelling, balance changes etc their messages, not inconveniences. ✨ Awareness is wellness ✨ So let’s listen together…👉 What are your feet trying to tell you today? Drop a word, a feeling, or symptom you’ve noticed below 👇(There’s no right or wrong answer — just awareness.)

I love this topic! And so good to know that we can prevent a lot by listening to our feet! (tried to find a foot GIF but they're just too weird 😂)
