I realized it’s been about 19 days since I last posted here, so I wanted to pop back in and reconnect. My son was visiting from China, the first time I’ve seen him in almost 3 years!!! He was here through my birthday 🎂 until this past week. Seeing my two kids together (I still call them kids even though he’s 31 and my daughter is 29!) and watching my 6-year-old grandson finally spend time with the uncle he’s only known from across the world 🌏 was absolutely priceless. We packed a lot into those days, bowling, axe throwing, visiting family, movie nights, Lego time (yes… he still loves Legos 😄), and making sure all his childhood cravings were taken care of. Some of his requests made us laugh… like Dunkin’ donuts, even though we have amazing bakeries in town, and home-cooked breakfasts like when he was younger. Funny how the things that bring comfort are often the simplest. One of the funniest food requests was Chinese food which made us laugh because American Chinese is very different from what he eats abroad! He also brought us beautiful gifts from Armenia, Amsterdam, and China. But honestly, the best gift was seeing him and his sister reconnect after time apart reminiscing, shopping, laughing, and just being together again. Needless to say… I soaked up every moment. 💖And this time saying goodbye was much harder than usual. It reminded me of something important: Sometimes life asks us to pause, and that’s okay. Taking time for what truly matters isn’t something we need to apologize for. In fact, sometimes the best self-care is simply being present with the people we love. 👉 So I’d love to know: What’s one of your favorite things to do with your family? Maybe it’s: • cooking together • movie nights • traveling • game nights • Sunday dinners • just sitting and talking Drop it below 💛
