🌙✨ Herbal Spotlight: Cinnamon for Winter Warmth ✨🌙
Cinnamon is one of winter’s most comforting herbs — warm, sweet, and deeply supportive for seasonal wellness. It pairs beautifully with peppermint, ginger, citrus, cacao, and chamomile, making it a core ingredient in many cozy, functional blends at The Coftea House. 🔥 Why cinnamon shines in cold weather: • Warming + circulation support: A classic warming spice that helps the body feel less chilled during cold, damp days. • Blood sugar balance support: Studies suggest cinnamon may support healthy blood sugar metabolism — helpful during sugar-heavy holiday months. • Immune & antioxidant boost: Rich in polyphenols that help the body handle everyday oxidative stress. 🌿 Best cinnamon forms for tea: • Sticks (quills): Slow, smooth flavor; perfect for simmering. • Chips: Stronger, faster extraction — great for stovetop blends. • Ground cinnamon: Best whisked into lattes; can get gritty in straight tea. ☕ Simple cinnamon tea methods: • Stovetop simmer: 1–2 sticks in 2–3 cups water, simmer 10–20 min; add honey or lemon. • Mug infusion: Break a stick, steep 10–15 min covered for a gentle cup. • Latte-style: Simmer sticks with water + milk, then add black tea or rooibos for a chai-like brew. 🍊 Winter blend ideas: • Cinnamon + ginger + orange: Warming and bright. • Cinnamon + peppermint + cacao: A winter dessert cup. • Cinnamon + chamomile + apple: Cozy and kid-friendly. 🌱 Safety notes: • 1–3 cups daily is typical for winter. • For frequent use, choose Ceylon cinnamon (lower in coumarin). • If pregnant, nursing, on medications, or managing liver issues, check with a clinician before heavy daily use. Wrap your hands around a warm mug and let cinnamon bring heat, sweetness, and winter magic to your ritual. ✨
I was watching a video on cinnamon, and there are two different grades/processes/plants. I use it every day in my coffee and oatmeal, so I was surprised to learn more about it! 🤓 "There are two main types of cinnamon: Ceylon and cassia. Both of them are healthy, but one contains a toxin that is harmful if you eat too much of it." Ceylon vs. Cassia — Not All Cinnamon Is Created Equal "Exceeding the upper limit for coumarin is easily possible if you are consuming a lot of cassia cinnamon. In many cases, just 1-2 teaspoons could bring someone over the daily limit. Therefore, if you regularly eat a lot of cinnamon or take a supplement that contains it, then it should be Ceylon and not cassia." Now, I have to check my cinnamon label and go easy on my love for cinnamon!! 💝

@Corey McNabb Sure! I wasn't aware either! Goodness...never stop learning!😅🥳
Yule season is here!
Today I made my first of the Yule decorations that we will eventually have up! It was my first time making a wreath. So I kept it light. Feel free to share your homemade Yule or Christmas decorations!
Yule season is here!
Wow! It turned out lovely! I will have to go out and explore what natural element I can create one with! That's of the Yuletide inspiration!! 💚💝
Website design.
Good Morning friends, yesterday I worked on a new design for my coffee and tea website and would love some feedback! Go check it out! www.cofteahouse.com
I visited your website! I like the simplicity of the layout, and the photos are inviting, yet they do not match the description with the inspiration. You mention in the description, "...Inspired by the timeless elegance of Japanese teahouse traditions." Since it is an inspiration...why not show images of a Japanese teahouse or traditional Japanese teapots...the simple teapot is not as inspiring as the scenery of a Japanese garden with pagodas, traditional Japanese dress, and ceremonial tea. A video would be cool... I live in South Korea and Japan is another home for me. The tea ceremonies in both countries are magical... Capitalize on that to build more 'buy in' from your customers and 'show them,' don't 'tell them'... Online buying is visual and sound. (you can use Ai tools to create these videos, or Canva—it has videos you can build around with music.) Kyoto Tea Ceremony As an avid coffee and tea drinker, on your "About page" you mention: " ....curate each blend and brew to reflect our commitment to quality, mindfulness, and sustainability." I would be interested in where my coffee is coming from--what country--fiar trade-free from pesticides, and sustainability. Expanding on these elements would build trust in your product for those of us who are health conscious of what 'goes in' to our bodies. On the sales/product page you list: Details: - 100% Arabica Colombian Coffee - 11 oz bag (Ground) - Dark Roast So the question to ask is, " What makes "The Coftea House" different from any other coffee on the market? Find a special niche that makes java lovers want to buy your coffee over Starbucks. (for example) Build your brand...you state, "Our Dark Colombian roast is crafted from single-origin beans grown from the finest coffee farms in Colombia." Since it is an online shop...I cannot 'smell the beans' or sample a cup before buying the bag. Visuals are important. I like the coffee cup, beans, and bag—great start. How about on the About page—showing the farm in Columbia or a picture of the coffee bean bush...
@Corey McNabb I hope it helps! You got it started and all the pages on the site filled in...that was HUGE! Now, have some fun!!! Good luck—trust it will be successful for you!🍀🤩
What is more important?
There is an obvious nuance to this question but, Which would you prefer in an herbal tea? A nice flavor Or Great health benefits? Let me know your thoughts!
@Tamara Laine Hahaha! Yes, why not have it all! Love it!😍
Living in South Korea, there are some amazing oriental herbal tea specialists. Some of the teas are addictive-like, like jujube-pear-bellflower! Then the 24-herb tea looks like mud and tastes...well...worse than mud. Yet, some of those unappealing teas do hold awesome healing/immunity and more benefits. 🌿 Therefore, I agree with @Tamara Laine BOTH! First I swig down the mud tea...ahaha...and reward myself with the yummy tea!🤩 (this is my normal day!) But you are right, @Corey McNabb , my taste buds would choose the yummy over the opposite! hahaha😁🤣
🌿 Herbal Spotlight: Peppermint for Winter Wellness 🌿
Winter is the perfect season for peppermint tea — a cooling, aromatic herb that soothes digestion, eases sinus discomfort, and offers a calm, caffeine‑free pick‑me‑up. At The Coftea House, we love blending peppermint with warming botanicals like ginger, honey, or chamomile for cozy, functional cups that feel like a gentle pause in the cold season. ✨ Why sip peppermint this winter? - Breathe easier: Menthol helps open nasal passages, and inhaling the steam from a hot cup can loosen congestion. - Digestive calm: Peppermint relaxes your gut muscles and eases bloating, perfect after hearty holiday meals. - Relaxation without caffeine: Naturally caffeine‑free, peppermint is ideal for a soothing evening cup. ☕ Simple brewing tips: - 1–2 tsp dried peppermint (or 1 tbsp fresh) per 8 oz just‑off‑boil water; cover and steep 7–10 min. - For sinuses: inhale the steam for 30–60 sec before sipping. - For digestion: steep a bit longer and drink warm after meals. 🍵 Winter blend ideas: - Peppermint + ginger + honey → cozy and warming - Peppermint + chamomile + cinnamon → calm and gentle - Peppermint + cacao nib + orange peel → dessert‑like evening cup 🌱 Tip: 1–3 cups daily is common in winter. Always rotate herbs for variety and choose high-quality leaves with vibrant aroma. Sip slowly. Feel the magic of winter herbs in every cup. ✨ www.cofteahouse.com
Oh, I love the sounds of this combo; Peppermint + cacao nib + orange peel💝 Thanks for the blends of brews!! 🌿💝
