Questions about basketball season
Yo what’s up everyone! I know everyone is preparing for tryouts and basketball seasons starting up. What questions do you have about how to train during season or how to prep for a tryout? Ask anything

how to I work on my fluidity and confidence as a new player i.e cutting out jerky and unnecessary movements
Athletic or skilled?
hoopers! Share your opinion: is it more important to be athletic or skilled? Comment below! Here’s my opinion as a former college basketbal player and current strength and conditioning coach: Skills are essential. You MUST be able to shoot, dribble, and pass. Scoring is the goal of the game, so you must be good at it in order to succeed. HOWEVER… as you go up in the ranks, the true separating factor is athleticism. The main difference between high school guys and college guys is their ability to use their skills BECAUSE of their athleticism. And honestly… the most effective combination is when you have skills that are perfectly honed around your specific athleticism. That’s why I believe in Hybrid Academy. We have included both and tailored the exercise selection so your skills will use the strength you’ve built. Plus, if you have any questions, me and Ian are here to guide you within the Academy. A perfect balance is necessary but the goal is to grow the whole discipline as big as possible.
