Micheal Jordan and Kobe Bryant weren’t two of the best basketball players of all time because the were the most naturally gifted, athletic, or skilled. They were the best because they wanted it the most… In my opinion the two mentally toughest basketball players of all time. Their mental strength led them to have two of the hardest work ethics of all time. They wanted it so bad they were willing to do whatever it took. They would push their body to its limits when training. They would work harder and longer than anyone else. They could push through, when their body’s didn’t feel like they could run another mile they’d run two more. They would do whatever it took to be the best. If you wanna be great your gonna have to work harder, train harder, push through when nobody else does, sometimes you’ll even have to stand alone but if you want to be the best that’s what it takes. When your lifting weights at the gym push yourself to lift heavier. When your running push yourself to run an extra mile than you think you can. When your running sprints at practice because Coach is mad sprint your hardest even if everyone else is jogging. At a practice over the summer our coach was having us do conditioning. He had us running sprints and 17s for a LONG TIME and I’m happy to tell you I gave 100% on every one. But for every single sprint me and my other friend were the first two every single sprint and when I say we were always the first two I’m not talking we would beat them by a little I’m talking we beat them by about half the court on a down and back. We were the only two who had the mental strength to push ourselves further than our body’s felt like they could go. Everyone else wasn’t running their hardest because they were exhausted. They were complaining about how they couldn’t go further. But me and him didn’t complain once and we were both even more exhausted then they were but we pushed through anyway and ran harder than the others. And the crazy thing is me and him are the hardest workers but both of us have asthma. It’s harder for us to breath than the others and we still kept going. Me and him were the best two players on the team.
