This is a huge win for me and I just wanted to share it with the community! Hopefully it can be helpful if you are not seeing any traction for months, just know it can happen really quickly. I literally posted a month ago an intro post in this community and I had 290 subs then. Then one video got over 20K views, I got monetized, got 5 sponsorship requests and it all kind of happened within 2-3 weeks. My niche is AI for solopreneurs, so granted its on the rise, but I agree with @Harut Martirosyan 100%, it think its less the niche, but much more the fact that I am obsessed with the topic and I would make videos even if no one was watching and that's kept me going. My takeaways: 1. I committed to 1 video a week, because I quickly realized I had to learn so many new skills from scratch, this is what I could do in the time I had. I am happy I did, cause the learning curve was steep. When I got more comfortable and familiar with the whole process I started doing 2 videos per week and the week when that video went viral-ish I posted 2 long form and 1 short. My goal is to do 3 per week from mid-august. 2. I use Descript (+ its AI features) for editing and it's a lifesaver. I don't re-record, over edit and it takes me minutes to cut out all the pauses, uhmms, gaps, retakes etc It's very intuitive and it let's you edit the video as text, which I love. If I had to spend hours editing I would never have stayed consistent. 3. My motto was to become just 1% better with each video on every level, better structure, hook, edits etc. - I had to let my inner perfectionist die slowly and hit publish. 4. I learned from Alexa's video about the channel keywords (had no idea!) and added that, as well as added end-frames to all videos. 5. I add Timestamps to most of the videos in the video descriptions (not sure how to measure this, but the 20Kvideo had them and I think it helps with discoverability as it enriches SEO of the description?) 6. I research keywords with VidIQ + Chatgpt Deep Research feature (now experimenting with ChatGPT Agent) 7. I included a Lead Magnet in almost every video (even when I didn't have any views) and now I have over 500 subs on my newsletter and around a 100 people on a waitlist for my Skool Community. I am so happy I spent time on setting those things up in advance.

@Wendy Dashwood-Quick I tried CapCut and I hated it. I don’t use any other tool other than descript for editing but I have to mention that I am an educational YTber so might be different if someone has an entertainment niche, but my videos are talking heads and tutorials, so I don’t have a need for any crazy animations, transitions etc.
AI Tools! recommendations anyone
Hey Creators? I was wondering if anyone here is using AI tools to improve their workflow? I tried few tools such as Wisecut and wasn't as happy as I hoped it would be. Does anyone have any suggestions of good tools they have used or recommendations?

4,000 Watch Hours, way to go!!
Hello tribe!!! for your information, i just reached 4k watch hours!!! you tube says "new achievement", but for me and my family it's a HUGE milestone, since our channel is focus on kids, we thougth initialy in a 6month period to reach 4000 watching hours. Let me share with you how we made it in exactly 3 months: 1. facebook and instagram daily posts 2. whatsapp and messenger sharing 3. continous SEO optimization and thumbnail improvement we are still low in susbscribers, 178 actually, but we have faith in grow to 1k in a short time!! According to the "marathon reference" of a youtube channel journey, i feel that the last week i hit "the wall" because all was so slow....the subscribers number stood still and the watching hour went to minimun.... the finish line is closer!!! and the monetization is just ahead!!! thank you all!! https://www.youtube.com/@IndhiraSheccidSaid

Congrats! That's amazing!
Hi from Sweden!
Hi everyone! I am so happy that I came across Alexa's channel and this community - it's been so valuable and I love the non-guru vibe! I wanted to quickly introduce myself - I am Elena, I live in Sweden and I am turning 40 this year. I started my YT channel in February and am currently at 290 subs. My niche is simplifying AI & automation for solopreneurs and online business owners. Even though I have spent my entire corporate career in tech and AI - I struggled so much to put myself and my skills out there in the beginning! The "cringe" period of recording myself was tough. But I feel like this has been the most powerful personal development leap I have had, I've learned so much about myself, my limiting beliefs and gained so much confidence. I am so excited to be part of this community and can't wait to grow my channel and learn from all of you!

@Gil Kreslavsky thanks Gil!
I'm monetised!
I feel like I should run around and celebrate, but it just sort of landed when I was focussing on everything else that I'm trying to juggle! I guess this would be a good time to stop and notice that I've just reached a goal.
I'm monetised!
