The Foundations of Virality - Yours Free
Virality isn't luck; it's knowledge. But... what knowledge, exactly? I pieced together 100 videos by their smallest units — the "beat" —and put them all into a very simple database that anyone can use; and it's yours free, for just 1 more week. A beat is the smallest unit of character action. One action by one character = one beat. Virality is built on powerful, emotional COMBINATIONS of beats. So, I decided to investigate all the MOST viral beats, using the top 100 Shorts on the YT platform. And this database makes ALL OF THEM easily searchable and functional. Simply pick a video you find interesting, and see what psychology underlies each beat. This is POWERFUL for coming up with ideas, because every singular beat in here is PROVEN, and each pattern of beats has accumulated hundreds of millions of views. This really takes "swiping" ideas to the next level. And it's only free for a few more days. I haven't seen this anywhere else online and I'm definitely going to charge big bucks for it soon. I really hope you take advantage, grab this for free, and USE IT! GRAB THE RESOURCES HERE: 100 Most Watched YT Shorts Dataset - Science of Virality · NeuroViral Creator Library Let me know what you think <3

Thanks for the resource Jonny, but I don't know how to effectively use this resource. Maybe it's because I'm not planning to create similar videos. Or it's because I haven't studied the materials properly. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Rebranding Update: Focus on Virality Science — New Name?
Hey all! Things are changing and I want you to be a part of it :) My research is moving in the direction of Viral moments in media. And for all the active copywriters in here, I'll make sure to always connect that back to making sales. Great copy and viral media share the "rapturous attention" aspect, the reader or viewer needs to feel like they're missing out if they don't watch (or read). But since I'm focusing on viral media for a while, I'm going to be building out a new knowledgebase for this. Along with a YouTube channel (which I'll post here, maybe premium style, a week before YouTube, just for you guys), I'll also be focusing specifically on these scientifically verifiable aspects of virality. I'm considering a few new names for the group, given this new direction. Would love all your feedback! (Note: These are just a few new options—I like the "Library" idea as this is a base of knowledge and curation, but we could change this if necessary) Let me know what your thoughts are on this or if you have any other ideas!

Guess you've already made your choice. Good name though.
4.14.25 Quick Update: Copy Upgrade Course is All One Course now
Hey all! Trying to keep things cleaner and make some room. The entire Copy Upgrade 101 Course is now a single module. All the same lessons are in this single module now. Homework is no longer needed to progress (though still HIGHLY recommended—why would you do a course without doing the work? :) ) Cheers!

Well, I especially like the homework being mandatory to proceed to the next stage. Because it forces us to implement what we've learnt. I hope to complete my research doc tmr, I'll send it to you once I'm done with it.
4.4.25 Community Update
Hey all! I know some of you are silently killing it, using this group to make the most out of your work: exactly what I'd hope for! Things have been a little quiet lately so I just wanted to pop-in and update you. I'm currently doing a deep dive into short form content (see current progress here: Summary of Findings - NeuroViral Content Studies · The Direct Response Library) I'm looking for ways I can help anyone/everyone produce high-value, high-return content from the ground-up. Being able to produce high-quality content has so much potential: Creating a monetized YouTube channel, creating cold-traffic/top-of-funnel marketing campaigns, writing advertorials/articles that get people interested in a product, or just spreading the word about something important to you. It might seem like I'm veering away from actual Direct Response copywriting... And maybe that's true... but then again, what is Direct Response without the potential to rapturously grab attention? I think the two go hand in hand (no attention = no high-converting VSL). I'm currently doing a new study: 100 of the most viral Shorts videos of the last year. Beat-by-beat breakdowns, direct identification of viral elements, and categorizing science and patterns found within all of these. I think the benefit of this is going to be "learning the language" of viral videos. Being able to CREATE virality from this knowledge, will of course, be the next step. I hope you guys will ride that out with me. Comment below to let me know if this is something you think you'd benefit from or if you're interested in the current state of this research! Anyway, just checking in. Hope you guys are still getting value out of the group, however silent you may be ;) Let me know if I can do anything else for ya'll. Keep it up! :)
