You're Sitting On Top Of A Gold Mine, And You May Not Know It
Back around twenty years ago, I made a decision. I was flat broke at the time. I mean actually broke — the kind of broke where you're doing the math on gas money in your head before you turn the key. But more than broke, I was done. Done with the same old, same old. I didn't want to keep living a life that somebody else had handed me. So I did what I guess you could call a life audit. I sat down and looked honestly at three things: what I already knew how to do, what I actually enjoyed doing, and what I flat out refused to keep doing anymore. And somewhere in the overlap of those three things, I found a way to pay for the life I actually wanted to live. Not a job I found. A life I decided on, and then built the income around. I've been living that way, self-sustaining, for close to twenty years now. I am Rasheed (Uncle) Hooda, the founder of the Embrace Your Inner Weirdo community, and the author of Life: It's a Trip - Your Key to Happiness & Success. Every time I share that story with someone, the response is practically the same. "Man, I wish I could do that." That's what this Friday is about. 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗱 — a free masterclass, Friday, September 25th at 11:30 AM EST. By the end of it, here's my promise to you: you'll see that you may already have everything you need to create a livelihood around the life you want to live. What you already know, what you already enjoy, and what you're done with — that's the raw material. That's what we're going to dig into. 👉 Save your spot here 👈 Come as you are.

Why Are You Waiting To Retire?
My father's generation had a deal. You showed up. You worked hard. You stayed loyal to one company for 30 or 40 years. And the company said, "Take care of us now, and we'll take care of you later." Your job was your retirement plan. You didn't need to be an investment expert. You didn't need to guess what you'd need at 75. Then somewhere along the way, the company quietly tore up its half of the deal. Here's the part that gets me: we threw out the system but kept the idea. We still spend our best years working so that someday we can stop working and start living. Maybe the problem isn't that we haven't saved enough. Maybe retirement itself is the outdated part. What if those 40 years went into building a self-sustaining life instead? One where the income comes from being who you already are. You may have already spent some of those 40 years following the old and outdated idea, but it is not too late to change the strategy. It is not too late to start living NOW, instead of SOMEDAY. What's something you do that people say is "so you"? Could it pay a bill? 👇 We're figuring this out together in The Self-Sustaining Life Lab I am teaching a masterclass tomorrow at 11:30 AM EST 👉 Grab Your Seat HERE 👈

@Heather Wilson yes, because they've seen it first hand the uselessness of the old system before they got pushed or dragged into it. They are refusing to play by the old rules and the keepers of the old rules are calling them lazy but they're not lazy. they are smart.
Are You on Skool Because of AI Induced Job Anxiety?
According to a recent Careerminds survey of 1,000 professionals who hold both a full-time job and a second stream of income, 64.1% of workers now build a side hustle out of job-security anxiety. While generating extra cash remains a primary goal (93.2%), the underlying motives have shifted dramatically toward defensive career management: - Layoff Buffer: 37.5% - Retirement Savings: 37.9% - Skill-Building: 34.9% - Passion Projects: 34.9% The trend is even more pronounced among younger corporate professionals: 69.4% of Gen Z and 63.6% of Millennials view their side hustle as career insurance. Recent data from the US Federal Reserve and financial media giant Bankrate confirms that secondary income among middle-income and university qualified professionals has surged well past pre-pandemic levels. What's your prime motivation for creating a Skool community?

How much do you need, or want, to pay yourself?
What does your business actually cost to run? What needs to be set aside for taxes and profit? What does your business really need to generate each month to be profitable? And based on what you’re selling, how many customers do you actually need each month? These questions can rattle around in your brain for a loooong time. Even after you’ve started the business.... even after you’ve made sales! And, yes, even after you’ve picked a revenue goal because somebody on the internet said that was 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 we were all supposed to be chasing. 😆 But a random revenue goal doesn’t tell you what your business needs. That’s why @Lisa Drennon is brining us the 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗨𝗽 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿: 𝗔 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 to the Main Stage inside 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹! Instead of starting with a shiny number and scrambling to reach it, Lisa is helping us build from the money up.... aka: the bottom! You’ll work through your business expenses, your pay, taxes, profit, monthly revenue needs, and the number of customers it may actually take to get there. And you’ll leave knowing your own Bottoms Up Business Map, a much clearer picture of the financial foundation your business needs. 📅 Tuesday, September 29 ⏰ 4:00 PM Central / 5:00 PM Eastern 👉𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲! Can’t attend live? Register anyway, and the replay will come straight to you! Now with all those crazy questions swimming in your head… when you started your business, what was the very first thing you did? 👇

@Lydia Lowery Busler It's all about knowing your numbers.
Forget Retirement, There May Be a Better Way
I’ve been thinking about this whole idea of retirement. It actually made sense once. You went to work for a company, stayed there for 30 or 40 years, and in exchange for your loyalty, the company basically said, “You take care of us while you’re working, and we’ll help take care of you when you’re done.” Your job was your retirement plan. You didn’t have to become an investment expert. You didn’t have to figure out how much money you were going to need when you were 75. But somewhere along the way, that deal changed. Companies stopped promising to take care of you for the rest of your life. But here’s the strange part. We changed the system, but we kept the idea. We still try to spend most of our lives working so that someday we can finally stop working and start living. There are SEVEN days in a week. SOMEDAY isn't one of them. Maybe it isn’t that we haven’t saved enough for retirement. Maybe retirement itself is an outdated idea. What if, instead of spending 40 years building a retirement fund, we spent those years building a self-sustaining life? A life that creates enough income to support the way we want to live. Then you don’t need to retire from your life. You just keep living it. Your Weird becomes your Superpower that funds your life. That is what we talk about in The Self-Sustaining Life Lab. What is your Superpower? Can it fund your life? Comment below 👇 On Friday, Sept. 25th I am doing a Masterclass in @Adam McCollough 's Community at 11:30 AM EST exploring the idea. https://www.skool.com/live/LYLmnY6YkZx
