Well done
Keeper Equipmnent
Is it me with a bit of OCD or not, but what equipment do other keepers or parents for their Keepers take on match days. It seems I need a full suit case now just in case. We do know before hand whether it is Grass or 4G but typically what stuff do people arrive with just in case. Do people take spare gloves or liners etc Eg, Cap, Tape, Grass Gloves, 4G Gloves, Bottle, Hand Talc, (Post Match) Sliders, Joggers, Hoodie, Towel.

Favourite part of goalkeeping/football
What is your favourite part of football/goalkeeping and why? For me it’s when I make an amazing save and everyone is shocked, it’s such a good feeling as you know you have just saved your team from going down a goal. I also love it when I use something I have been taught in my gk training because it shows that all my hard work is paying off! That’s mine - what’s yours?!

When your playing and a crowd is watching, and you catch a ball and the crowd goes ohhhhhh Best feeling ever
Young keepers
The last few weeks have been tough. My sons finding it difficult to put everything we do training ( over the green) into matches he will come out dive at feet. Dive either side to make a save but transferring that into matches isn't happening he's only 8 but when a team is loosing with big score lines every week my worry is it's always the gk that gets looked at and everything we practice goes out the window when he gets on the pitch, ive been asked not to coach from behind the goal which I respect I just dont like seeing him fail. Does it get better parents? He has a 1 2 1 every other week the dark evenings done help but what more can I do? Any advise? Thanks all

From personal experience he is probably scared of being hurt which is completely understandable so what I would do is try and boost his confidence and reward him for little things he does well, also he's only 8 so it is probably hard for him to remember in high pressure situations. It will probably take a few weeks he will get over it Hope this helps
