I'd get it out in the first ten seconds of the call, something like you'll know me as David. Nobody's ever made it awkward when I've done that.
Everyone tells you to niche down. I tell new agency owners the opposite.
Stop narrowing your ICP down to one industry before you have any data. New agency owners do this constantly. They pick a niche off a course, go all in, and wonder why the emails aren't landing. Here's what recommend instead. Build the exclusion list first. Remove the industries you genuinely don't want. Hate working with legal? Cut legal. Everything else stays open. That keeps your total addressable market wide while you're still figuring out what actually resonates. Then send the broad campaign. Same offer, every industry that's left. Give it two months. By then the replies tell you where the money is. One or two industries will be answering way more than the rest. Now you narrow. Double down on the niche that's replying. Write copy just for them. Build the next list around them. You didn't guess the niche. The market picked it for you, and you've got the reply data to prove it. Which industry ended up being your niche without you planning it?

Exclusion list first is a nice flip, Jay. I'd tag replies by industry from day one though, otherwise two months in you're just eyeballing it.

Put them in the email itself, a doc is one more click he probably won't make. Give him the three you promised, then ask for the call once he's reacted to them.
The wrong people are getting your Instagram DMs
Say you sell PR. Most people find a PR expert on Instagram, scrape their followers, and DM all of them. Those followers are other PR people. None of them want to buy PR. The person who needs PR writes something else in their bio. "Speaker." "Author." "Featured in Forbes." That's who I went after in the new video, and the filters in Consulti's Instagram database took me from 90,000 profiles down to 52,000 that fit the offer and are small enough to still read their own DMs. Then the machine takes over. It researches each account, writes one DM per person (never the same message twice), and sends on a schedule Instagram doesn't flag. The new piece is what happens after. My agent now works the replies, including the ones from 30 and 60 days ago that ManyChat can't reach. I show the exact setup. Full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsU1RYlPSes Which bio words would you filter for in your niche? Drop them below and I'll tell you if they'd work.

Scraping a PR guy's followers to sell PR is an easy trap to fall into. The Speaker and Author bio angle is the bit I'd not thought of.
Deliverability versus confidence building
I’m getting ready to launch cold email campaigns across 24 highly segmented data feeds, targeting CIOs and C-suite executives at $1B+ enterprise companies for B2B IT consulting. Because we’re going after high-level enterprise decision-makers, authority and brand image are extremely important. I recently had a custom banner image created (attached below) to build immediate confidence and trust right when the email opens. Years ago, when our business was doing $4M/year, we ran emails through ConstantContact with visual banners and saw great success. However, standard cold email consensus today is: "Never include images in your first email—it will tank deliverability straight to spam." Here is our current setup: Accounts are pre-warmed (purchased directly through Instantly). Extremely low/sparing sending volume per inbox. Highly optimized spintax and copy to avoid traditional spam triggers. Deeply segmented firmographic data. At the same time, I regularly receive newsletter-style outbound emails in my primary inbox that feature visual header banners. I’d love feedback from anyone running B2B enterprise outreach: 1. Have you tested using a header banner or image in Email #1 when targeting enterprise C-suite? 2. Did you notice a measurable drop in deliverability (especially against enterprise filters like Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Microsoft Defender)? 3. If you use visuals, do you keep Email #1 strictly text-only and introduce graphics in follow-up steps, or do you use them from day one? Would appreciate hearing real test data or experiences from the group!

I'd keep the first one plain text. Banner reads as a newsletter to Proofpoint before anyone's read a word, and CIOs bin those on sight.
