Hi I'm new here. I'm a Widow of 15 yrs and retired for 14 years, decided my Husband passed away so young I didn't want to work until I died and I wanted to enjoy my future Grandkids (which I am doing-I have 8 Grandkids) I have a Boyfriend, so it's my Boyfriend, my Cats and I. I live in the Driftless area of Wisconsin in my own little corner. I'm lucky to live where I live. Lots of farmers that sell meat off their farms, lots of farm stands in the summer, if I'm not mistaken 1 of the biggest Farmers Markets in the Midwest in Madison, about 40 miles East of me. I can, dehydrate and freeze herbs, fruits, veggies and meat. I love knowing what's in the food I'm eating. I also have 6 medium sized flower beds and grow alot of my produce too. That's me in a Nutshell. My Favorite indoor plants are Purple Heart and Pink Princess Philodendron. My Favorite out door plants are my Hardy Hibiscus, my 38 yr. Old Clematis and my Mini Rose Bush I saved from a fall basket a couple of years ago. Hoping to meet some like minded people here. Also here to learn.

Let’s talk about the herbs that pair beautifully with pumpkin pie and other cozy winter dishes and how to keep them thriving indoors. 🌱 𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐏𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐛 𝐏𝐨𝐭” This is a simple, seasonal edible pot you can grow right now. 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: * 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐞 – earthy, cozy, classic winter flavor * 𝐓𝐡𝐲𝐦𝐞 – subtle, savory, incredibly versatile * 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐭 – perfect for desserts, cocoa, and post-meal tea These herbs: ✔ tolerate cooler indoor temps ✔ grow slowly but steadily in winter ✔ don’t need constant harvesting ✔ smell amazing every time you brush past them 🪴 𝐏𝐨𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 You can grow these herbs together temporarily or separately. 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐩: * Individual pots (4–6 inches) * Excellent drainage * Light, airy potting mix If planting together: * Use a wide pot * Space plants well * Be conservative with watering Mint grows faster than sage and thyme.
