Both formal and self-dducation are very valuable. People have different temperaments, learning styles, and individual preferences. Some like to learn independently because it gives them flexibility and allows for a personal approach to their learning. In contrast, others like to learn in a more structured format with a teacher who is the class facilitator and where they learn with peers. Since learning is a social act, we learn by ourselves and in connection with others. Therefore, while interacting with others, we learn individually as well as from the input of our peers, like it here at this school. That is very important to learn. In my view, the combination of formal and self-education is the best learning format because formal education helps you stay focused because there is a curriculum; there are deadlines and guidelines, while self-education offers more flexibility, is cost-effective, and is more personal. Depending on what you do with the knowledge you acquired determines how much you make and how happy you are.
