The grief, along with relief, when I decided it was time. I am wholly guessing, that it is similar to the grief and relief one feels when a loved one has passed after battling an illness for a longtime.
The stories we tell ourselves
Listening to the latest episode of We Can Do Hard Things, they talk about the stories we tell ourselves and how this can keep you in the life you've been living. Doesn't mean this life is bad - it just might not be the life you want any longer, however it is very hard for you to stop telling yourself a certain story. This can now become your identity. I feel this deeply. As I'm working through claiming the identities of author, speaker, entrepreneur, I realize I don't know how to tell myself this story. I have a hard time imagining things - it's never been a strong suit of mine, I was a matter of fact kid and I grew into a rule following, matter of fact adult...attempting to raise imaginative rule following kids. It's a challenge! Anywho, if an identity if difficult for you, maybe evaluate the story your telling yourself. And here's the episode if you want to listen: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0tUL0iuIOPUoiJsaiA1Fji?si=hVCleP3oRTCuFgeriCqp6Q&t=3073&ct=2430

Welcome! Welcome!
I Did a Thing… and I’m Finally Sharing It 💛
Hey everyone! I wanted to share something exciting — I’m officially launching the Kickstarter for The Mom Brain Journal™. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mombrainjournal/rewiring-motherhood-one-page-at-a-time If you’ve seen my little breadcrumbs in here about what I’ve been writing or why this project matters… this is what it’s all been leading to. It’s a neuroscience-meets-soul-care journal for moms who are carrying a lot and deserve tools that actually support their minds, not drain them. I also want to give a huge thank you to @Sierra Melcher . Your webinars, honesty in editing, suggestions, and outline of the 4 phases of creativity (in the classroom) helped me move through doubt and finally trust my voice. Even when I’m quiet in the group, I feel the support — and it’s genuinely helped my writing blossom. And a massive gratitude to my beta readers from the group: @Brandee Melcher @Dee Mehta @Leslie Barber (Thank you for being open minded to listen to me and then for trying out this tool and giving honest, heartfelt and very intuitive feedback.) Finding this group was such a Godsend. If this project resonates with you or someone you know, I’d love for you to check out the Kickstarter. Thank you all for being part of the creative energy that got me here. 💛✨ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mombrainjournal/rewiring-motherhood-one-page-at-a-time
