How many watches does the perfect collection contain?
Okay so this is obviously subjective but just trying to get a scope on how many is too many (if too many even exists haha)!

Is an Homage disrespectful?
Disclaimer: I fully agree that fake watches are a plague on the watch community and no one should fuel these counterfeiters with money. That said: I think as long as you're not trying to lie or pretending to actually have a $60,000 Patek Nautilus that buying an homage so you can really enjoy a watch design that you love is perfectly fine. There are nuances to the argument. One being that a 1:1 is too much and companies with homage watches should change it up a little. What do you guys think? This is my Pagani. All stainless steel with a seagull ST6 automatic movement, a sapphire crystal, milled butterfly clasp and an exhibition case back all for a fraction of a fraction of the price of a Nautilus.

The thing that stops me buying homage watches is the chance of someone saying “Oh I love your Nautilus” and then having to explain that it’s actually not a Patek but a….. so on so on. But I’m not against them, totally understand why people pick them up 👍

@Lonnie Sharp Fair point Lonnie, when you’re in as deep as we are and able to recognise not only the brand but model name; it’s easy to forget that to regular people they’re just watches haha! Maybe I’ll add a homage or two to my collection after all.
Advice regarding an old colleague
An old colleague got in touch. I haven’t worked with this guy for 3 years although I see him rarely at events from time to time. He last contacted me about a year ago asking a favour for some small graphics for a car. I obliged because the material costs were so minimal (literally pence) and he had everything set up ready; so no man hours. He has contacted again asking for more… I’m sure it’s not a large job but I can’t help but think… man that’s a bit cheeky. I haven’t replied yet and I’m two minds whether or not I should reply at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys! David

@Simon Chambers totally agree, I didn’t expect a follow up request hence why I was taken aback. It would be very, very rare I would do anything as a favour when it comes to creative work considering how undervalued our industries are already. I guess it was a bad judge of character on my part! Glad to have this online community to discuss and advise. Thanks again man :)
