Code Assistant ShipKitAI
@Brandon Hancock As I dive deeper into app development using ShipKitAI, I’ve finally run into the issue of context limits. I’m using Claude Code on the Pro plan, and I’m trying to understand how others handle this. When your context window resets, how do you make sure the model picks up exactly where you left off? Do you create an additional “status” or “progress” markdown document that the code assistant can re-load to re-establish the full implementation state? Also, I’m considering an additional AI subscription (ChatGPT) since it offers Codex-style capabilities. Has anyone here used it, and how does it compare in practice?

I think Brandon recommended context7 to help with this? He had a couple videos on how to optimize use of diff subscriptions and save money? I found this one but poke around for another more recent one from him! https://www.skool.com/ai-developer-accelerator/my-ai-tools-subscriptions-setup?p=cce7767e Another fellow here built a more aggressive .ignore tool ( in GitHub I believe, haven’t used it) which helps reduce the amount of context eaten up as you work w/AI. Everyone will tell you ‘keep your tasks focused, never as for too much in a chat’, but it’s hard to follow that rule 100%. Quick and easy but pricey solutions: A) Use Cursor on the $20 plan but in max mode and PAY. B) Get Augment. It May offer free starter? 50/month (im guessing this is FAR cheaper overall then using same # of monthly requests in cursor Max mode). I’m not affiliated but, maybe I should be bc it is THAT GOOD. Hands-down the best coding platform out there. That’s just me, Brandon would be a BETTER judge!
[New Video + Coaching Call Moved] Claude Code Skills: Automate Everything You Do
📅 IMPORTANT: Tonight's weekly coaching call has been moved to tomorrow at the same time! Hey guys! Claude Code Skills just dropped two weeks ago, and I'm already addicted. Between running my YouTube channel, my AI Developer Accelerator community with 10,000+ developers, and building shipkit.ai, I have way too much repetitive work every single day. Claude Code Skills changed everything—I'm now automating YouTube planning, code reviews, email writing, literally everything. But here's the problem: everyone's showing off their cool skills on YouTube and X, but nobody's giving you a real framework for how to actually create your own. That's why I built the MASTER framework—a 6-step system that takes you from doing a task manually to having a Claude Code Skill that performs like an expert employee. You can watch the full breakdown below! Here's exactly what you'll learn: ✅ The one critical rule about when to create skills (this alone will save you hours of wasted work) ✅ All 6 steps of the MASTER framework with real examples you can follow ✅ How to train your skills like you'd train a new employee—expect rough edges at first, then watch them improve ✅ The magic prompt that turns your manual work into a reusable skill ✅ Common mistakes to avoid so your skills actually work (most people get this wrong) Plus, I'm giving away my complete Claude Code cheat sheet—packed with keyboard shortcuts, custom setup, and all the power-user workflows I use with my shipkit.ai developers! 👉 https://github.com/bhancockio/claude-code-cheat-sheet Whether you're drowning in repetitive tasks or just looking to work smarter, this framework will help you automate everything you do. Cheers, Brandon Hancock 🧑‍💻 P.S. Speaking of Claude Code—shipkit.ai just added complete Claude Code mastery modules showing you exactly how to use it inside production-ready templates for AI Chat, RAG, ADK agents, and more. Skip the boilerplate, learn the workflows, and start shipping real AI applications in days instead of months.

@Ryan Herd Brandon did a video on your dilemma too: https://www.skool.com/ai-developer-accelerator/new-video-best-ai-coding-tool-in-2025-cursor-vs-claude-code?p=a404e784, I haven’t watched yet bc Augment + Sonnet 4.5 is so f’n sweet, I don’t use my $20 Claude sub hardly at all…but just started too bc Augment changing pricing structure lol. It’s only fair, for the amount of work I’ve gotten out of it for $50 - holy hell, I’m quite sure I would have paid thousands in CC Max.

I’m re-developing a sophisticated event management platform that I built using make.com & Twilio a few years ago and now trying to port it into a next.JS react tailwind typescript & Twilio stack. I have a lot of relational database experience and front-end ui/ux design experience, have led teams w/Jira, but very little JavaScript or actual webcoding experience. I’m looking for someone who is very comfortable developing in the new stack and has developed multi-repo apps? This first phase of the project will involve a lot of Twilio email and other channels designed to work together simultaneously for the same user as needed. Only one or two admin users will need to access the application UI online…all staff, guests, vendors, and other people involved in the event communicate over SMS + other channels with our app to interact/CRUD etc… A lot of intellectual property involved, the business logic, user stories and target audience are locked down. I want to work on this full-time, but I am on the verge of launching a completely different app in the music space, pulsing raising teenage son etc..so my time is limited right now. I imagine this will take a solid 2 to 3 months of part-time work to get to an MVP stage that can be shared with initial user base. Long-term (1 year? Or 2 months with ShipKit 😍) it is a three project ecosystem. This phase is just building out the communication/guest-entertainment/staff-management side which will also be the main point of entry for most users in the beginning. I’m looking for a partner for long term to put in work now for shares/equity in the application mrr profits when it launches, and I am confident this will be a very profitable and popular application when it does launch. We are breaking things (search interface, multi-agent multi-touch real-world interactions on behalf of Admin, text and voice AI flows to please, tease and um…make it eeees ier to get a LOT of really impt shit done in background & keep guests entertained upfront all without any apps required) on large scale, dinosaurs will fall and smaller mammals will chase.

No deadlines. Nov: videos and research. Research best places/groups focused on Event Management, Weddings, Camps, Coaching programs, Bars(think trivia night). Reddit, LinkedIn, FB, and VC groups. We create and post compelling teaser videos about the new no-app app being released, without revealing too much actual PI or app features…basically to get communities excited to try it soon(we will make them wait), but also hopefully snag some seed investment through follow-up NDA-covered meetings. I think Investors would notice community buzz rather than Feature-rich interfaces. Don’t worry, we could do it all without community feedback and seed, but this is more about proving the idea’s worth and demand BEFORE spending much time coding and enabling faster growth when the time comes. Maybe nobody cares and they all list their favorite tools and why they would never leave them. At which point my partner should probably bail, as I code-on with fool’s confidence. Probably bc I’ve already built and sold apps for private companies in this space is why I’m so confident about saas-vacuuming our online competitor’s customers up rapidly. It’s inevitable. So my partner would get to work on THIS part first thing…I forgot to mention, these teaser videos…will be hilarious, that’s key. Weddings & Summer Camps are particularly ripe for this exercise.
Can somebody verify if possible?
Have you set up your supabase and vercel hosted react.js app like this to allow your Domain to appear in the Google Auth screen as users sign in? I’m trying to avoid the $35/mo supabase charge bc doubtful I will get a lot of paid users any time soon. I know the redirect URLs in supabase are impt too, and everything works as-is, just super ugly supabase ID that users are being asked to ‘trust’ 💩 My ideal setup: domain.com pointing to WP Site for SEO app.domain.com Actual app address Google Auth screen shows domain.com (or app.domain.com I don’t care!?) And my logo. Next ideal: I’m wiling to abandon WP site and use domain.com as app address if only way. If I do pay supabase for custom domain, can I stil host app on app.domain.com and show domain.com in Google Auth screen to keep branding consistent? Here is a Reddit thread along these lines but nobody posted there exact domain/app-domain/Auth-screen url configs. https://www.reddit.com/r/Supabase/s/15XdSrPoUf Come 🍻 David
Does RAG have real competition now?
This is way over MY head, but maybe you big-brains can break it down or build it up for us: https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/s/OjW6Jqx2DK
