Does anyone else struggle with upgrading their fashion style?
I am 27, almost 28 and I haven’t changed my fashion too much from middle/high school. T-shirts and shorts are my everyday outfit. (Hey, at least I “upgraded” from oversized basketball shorts to knee-length cotton shorts) I have elevated pieces - i.e. wool trousers, penny loafers, overshirts, selvedge denim jeans I just feel like it’s ”weird” for me to dress better. I know this feeling goes away and is normal for a lot of people, but it’s so overwhelmingly strong for me that if I have a “nicer” outfit than usual on, I just go back inside the house to change back into what feels normal. I also have no idea how to style pieces together, and I’m sort of a perfectionist in the worst way possible. If I don’t think an outfit perfectly meshes together, I just give up and resort to my usual, which is undoubtedly even worse. So it doesn’t even make sense most of the time. I have a hard time sticking to one fashion style too. I don’t know if this is a bad thing, but I really do like multiple different styles. Heritage/workwear, minimalism, ivy/preppy, and classic sartorial really resonate with me, and I feel like I have a good-enough body type to pull most things off, I just don’t know how to. OF COURSE I’m not going to combine multiple/all styles into one outfit, I was thinking more of a day-by-day rotation between styles and also depending on the weather. Basically all I’m saying is that I seriously let perfect be the enemy of good. I wonder how other people got out of this.

@Srini A I watch tons of videos and research a bunch on Reddit, Styleforum, etc., and I try to acquire high-quality pieces that fit me well. I just have such a difficult time tying them together. Every outfit requires so much planning for me and whether or not it goes well together. Not just color, but matching styles too. I get stuck in analysis paralysis and aiming for perfection and then giving up and resorting back to whatever is most comfortable.
Old suits
Hey guys, I lost a very large amount of weight, and my suit is almost 10 sizes too big (42S down to 36S) What can I do with the old suits? One of them is from Indochino, so not the highest quality, but the more recent one is from SuitSupply and I spent a decent amount of money on it (Money I longer have, I’m very broke/poor right now) Is it worth trying to sell these?
Anyone else have autism or have sensory and temperature regulation issues?
My style is really poor. Because of these 2 issues, I have always valued comfort to an extreme degree, and my wardrobe currently consists of mainly plain cotton t shirts and shorts. I’ve been looking to be more fashionable, but it’s hard because of my issues with certain fabrics and how uncomfortable I am with clothes touching the entirety of my legs and arms. I also get hot super easily and sweat, even yesterday when it was 30 degrees F. Anyone else have similar issues and are able to provide tips they’ve found helpful?

@Gunny Khan I am currently looking into purchasing linen trousers and shorts. I also don’t really mind Lululemon’s Commission pants. I ordered 2 long sleeve Commission button downs as well.

@Brian McGuire my main issue is that I kind of hate the look of those wide legged trousers, and I think flared ones are even worse. I know how unreasonable it is to try to find something that is both aesthetically pleasing (at least to me) and comfortable enough to accommodate my needs
