This is a letter written to our community. (No Emjois in this one) I have thought about posting this, and I decided that it needed to be posted. I have been away for a bit, mostly because I have been focused on 7 lives that needed me the most. Firstly, I am an IT manager, I am a leader of a team that puts their best into everything they do every day. We have been through the thick and thin together, we have faced adversity and success together, and lately we have faced challenges and expectations that effect all 8 of us. I have had no other option but to focus my energy on the things that keep us moving forward in our own lives. This does not mean this community does not mean to the world to me, but it means I have been focused on other things. I do not apologize for doing what I felt is the right thing, I apologize for not being here for the community. My heart is heavy. Beyond the obligations I have set in stone for the people I lead, I have had a tremendous loss in my life. Today the world has lost a bright light, someone who showed up in my life in a time that I needed most, her name is Marina Berthal and she should be celebrated not only mourned. To all of you she was a stranger, to me she was my world, she was the mom life never afforded me. I have lost 3 moms now in life. The first was my biological mother, the second my grandmother, and now Marina, a person who found me early in life, a broken and lost soul looking for guidance. I know our community is supportive, committed and above all else caring. You have all quickly became the family I have searched for in a lifetime. I want to apologize for my absence and want you all to understand that it is not by want, but by need that I am away currently. In my life I have experienced more loss then most, and this loss has landed in a time when I just could not hold it. I will be back; I just need some time to process this loss. I know we will win together, even when things seem tough. I believe in my heart, as Marina has taught me in life, we will learn together, we will grow together and we will win together.

The brief. The identity. The rules. The reference layer. The code. Where a repo made a claim we could check, we checked it. Arithmetic recomputed by hand. Sample photos opened and compared against the outputs that cited them. Files diffed. Self-tests traced. Thirty-two repos, read at the code/word level. And one lens over everything, because it's the lens this whole community is built on: does the build keep the human's judgment where it pays and put the deterministic work in code, where it can't hallucinate? 📦 THE FEEDBACK PACKAGE This is the new thing, and it's for everyone not just the podium. 📦 COMP #8: THE WILDCARD - The Vault Every entrant gets a markdown file. Three parts: 1️⃣ The read. What your build actually is, and the strongest thing in it cited to your own files. Rule numbers. Function names. Your own examples. 2️⃣ One push. The single change that most improves your build. Not a list. One. 3️⃣ An idea worth naming something original in YOUR build, credited to you, that the rest of the community is told to take from. Plus links to the builds your feedback points at. Nobody walks out of this comp empty-handed. Thirty-two builds, thirty-two named ideas. The builds that shipped receipts of a REAL run transcripts, dated logs, before-and-after fixes read differently every single time.

TL;DR How can I build my folder/file system so that it can be accessed and used across devices? I am always on the go, sometimes working from my phone, sometimes my laptop, sometimes my husbands laptop, sometimes my desktop. I'm looking for a central hub to store my files on that will sync across devices. Is anyone already doing this? I've been using Obsidian Sync with a backup to GitHub but since I want to be able to use Jake's ICM system with the third layer of files and artifacts, Obsidian doesn't seem to be working great for that. Is anyone building their whole knowledge base right on GitHub or using a different cloud solution?

I’ve been sharing in here about my work building a construction crew to help build bakeries - a workspace I have named Mira’s Forge. In my “hey I think I have 30-40 hours of Fable tokens left, YOLO!” post, @Alex Brown asked for a video about the build. And I was like “hmmm I didn’t film anything”, but in my next comment I was like “I keep *really* detailed records and I have Fable tokens which are about to expire” (or not, but I wouldn’t know that for about another 12 hours) 🤔.
