Iโ€™m turning 52 tomorrow, so I simplified something important
Tomorrow is my birthday. Iโ€™m turning 52. I cleared my calendar and Iโ€™m taking the day off. Lunch with my wife. Maybe a movie if we can find one actually playing. This is one of the underrated benefits of building your own thingโ€ฆ you can decide mid-week to step away without asking permission. That didnโ€™t happen overnight for me. It took time, a lot of wrong turns, and learning how to build something simple that didnโ€™t blow my life up. Even though I tried really hard to do the opposite. Because of that, I decided to keep things very simple this week. For the next 24 hours, I changed the annual price of Mindset Skool from $399 to $299. If youโ€™ve been thinking about joining Mindset Skool, this is just an easy window to commit for a year instead of making the same decision every month. Mindset Skool is where I help experienced people escape overthinking and build simple, low-stakes Skool communities using what they already knowโ€ฆ without tech overwhelm, without burning nights and weekends, and without chasing 20 ideas at once. You still get: - the 7-day free trial - a one-to-one call with me during that trial - full access to the classroom right away Just make sure you choose the annual option when you sign up. You can do that by clicking here. Now, one important thingโ€ฆ If youโ€™re waiting for the 90-Day Execution Sprint I mentioned in this group, totally fine. That program starts at the beginning of March, itโ€™s more execution-focused, and the investment for that will be lower than $299. If that feels like the better fit for you right now, donโ€™t rush this. Just make sure youโ€™re on the waitlist. Iโ€™ll be sharing more details there soon. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Join the 90-day sprint waitlist here Different paths. Same goal. If committing for a year feels right, the doorโ€™s open for the next 24 hours. If not, hang tight. More coming soon.

Happy early birthday, Brian! Hope you find a good movie.
Coaching vs Courses vs Digital Products - Which One Fits YOUR Skills Best?
One of the biggest reasons people stay stuck is simple. They donโ€™t know which type of online business actually fits them. So they spend months bouncing between ideasโ€ฆtrying a little coaching, watching a few course videos, testing a digital productโ€ฆand never getting traction with any of them. Hereโ€™s the simplest way to think about the 3 most common online business models and how to know which one is right for YOU: 1๏ธโƒฃ Coaching (1:1 or group) Best for you if you: - Like talking to people - Enjoy teaching or guiding step-by-step - Want the fastest path to your first customer - Donโ€™t mind being on Zoom Avoid this if you hate being โ€œon stage.โ€ 2๏ธโƒฃ Online Courses Best for you if you: - Prefer to teach once and let people learn on their own - Have a process you can break into steps - Want something scalable without adding more hours - Like creating videos or structured lessons Avoid this if you struggle to organize your thoughts. 3๏ธโƒฃ Digital Products (PDFs, templates, guides) Best for you if you: - Want something simple and fast to launch - Prefer writing over talking - Have repeatable knowledge you can package - Donโ€™t want to be on camera Avoid this if you want deep 1:1 interaction. ๐Ÿ‘‡ POLL: Which one feels like the best fit for YOUR skills and personality? (Coaching / Courses / Digital Products) After you vote, drop a comment: What made you choose that option? Iโ€™ll reply and help you narrow it down.

@Brian O'Neill Here is the strongest business direction OpenAI came up with: Your first $100 product: $7 guide: โ€œ10 Emergency Vegan Meals for Exhausted Peopleโ€ But that feels very narrow to me. What do you think?

@Brian O'Neill Okay. That makes sense!
How to Validate a Skool Community Idea (Before You Build Anything)
One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was building things nobody asked for. Full courses. Lead magnets. Digital products. Sound like you yet? All created in isolation. All launched with hope, and most of them quietly failed. So when I had the idea for what eventually became Mindset Skool, I refused to repeat that mistake. Instead of building the community firstโ€ฆ I validated the idea before it existed. Hereโ€™s exactly what I did and how you can do the same thing. Before Mindset Skool ever opened its doors, I used two things only: โ€ข A waitlist โ€ข Low-budget Facebook ads That's it, nothing was built. Just a clear idea and a simple test. The goal wasnโ€™t to โ€œlaunchโ€ anything. The goal was to answer one question: Do real people actually want this and will they pay for it? ๐’๐ญ๐ž๐ฉ ๐Ÿ: ๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐š ๐–๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ (๐๐จ๐ญ ๐š ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ) I built a basic landing page that said, in plain English: โ€œIโ€™m thinking about building a Skool community around this problem. Before I open it, I want to make sure people actually want it.โ€ If someone resonated, they joined the waitlist. No commitment, zero pressure, just raising their hand saying "I'm interested". I ran a single ad that I shot on my phone in my house. Zero production. Budget: $6 per day. The ad didnโ€™t pitch a product. It described the problem: Overthinking. Imposter syndrome. Fear of charging. Getting stuck before you ever start. If someone related, they joined the waitlist. Thatโ€™s validation. ๐’๐ญ๐ž๐ฉ ๐Ÿ‘: ๐‹๐ž๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ž๐ญ ๐“๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ This part matters more than people realize. Once people joined the waitlist, I asked them: โ€œWhatโ€™s your number one roadblock right now?โ€ Their answers became: โ€ข The content โ€ข The positioning โ€ข The first course โ€ข The promise of the community I didnโ€™t guess. They told me. I listened. ๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐‡๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ ๐๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ When I finally opened Mindset Skoolโ€ฆ Not everyone from the waitlist joined. Thatโ€™s normal. But enough people did to prove the idea was real.

Your approach sounds reasonable, but I would rather validate my idea for free. Do you have any free approaches to validation? I have done Facebook ads in the past in a different context, and they are not easy. I would much rather validate before investing in ads or the $9/month hobby plan.
Have you done this yet?
Watch the video for some cool updates. I ask you a very important question in the video. Leave the answer in the comments. Special mention to @Bryan StClair P.S. I'm this passionate because I care about your success. More than you know.

I am leaning toward a business idea but will go through your videos to confirm it. I will do one tonight. I havenโ€™t made more progress yet because I have another business I work on most days, which is self-publishing. I self-published two books in the last six months, and my third is nearly done.
