Who Has Launched A Podcast To Grow Skool Community?
Hi Skool Pals, has anyone successfully used a podcast as a way of driving attention and traffic into a free Skool group? Myself and my co-creator @Alex Chisnall have a community called Pod School which is helping people to launch and scale podcasts (we both own agencies that do this for clients and we have got 400 successful launches between us under our belts for global clients). We beta-tested Skool in the summer and have got 170 members for the test content - the feedback we constantly got was that people wanted more advice and coaching on how to actually launch a show, so we have created an entire course which will be going live as Pod School Pro in a few weeks, but we are also going to be putting out a brand new show called 'How To Start, Grow and Monetise Your Podcast' to drive awareness and traffic to the free community too. So, who here uses (or used) a podcast for their community? And, if so, did you drive traffic to the free community or your paid one? Happy Friday y'all.

I agree, @James Burtt. The trend is obvious (for me, at least) β€” given the last US presidential election and Rogan's or dare I say, podcast's influence on the outcome. In your predication, do you think the podcasting market will even grow more than predicted (from #25.62B in 2024 to $135.13B by 2031 at an annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26.8%)?

@Brett Rush thanks to descript.com you don't have to wait for the "right" equipment. Just hit 'record', then upload and hit 'publish'. No need to wait! You got this. Now.

Welcome to the 0.053125% club! Congratulations on making the jump from consumer to creator and launching your work-in-progress-show! (Here's a link to the first course module if you missed it). The next step is to share it with the community and introduce yourself. 1. Copy your Spotify Link from Spotify For Podcasters (grab it here) 2. Paste it in the comments below 3. Let us know where you're from and if you've any potential topics or themes for your show (No worries if you don't know yet! The next module will cover that!) Feel free to create a new post with any questions you have while we build out the programme and we'll be happy to answer them. So excited to have you here and for this next step in your life! β€” Matt P.S. Completing this action step will unlock the next module ;)

Great point, @Joao Morais! It only recently changed that AI would make translating so easy. Your prompted me to consider it, actually. Thanks!

Another way to approach this, @Jenna Ostrye, is instead of "just in case", consume content with the attitude of "just in time". So, whenever you face a problem or have a question, find a piece(s) of content that answer that. Otherwise, we'll all be consuming and not creating!
Thank YOU β€” Matthew! DANKE :)
Thanks for keeping this community nice, @Matthew Thompson! I love your post on the Skool Games community. I thought other members here would also love to appreciate this!

What's your biggest podcasting challenge?
My top two challenges as a DIY-podcasters are: 1. editing the podcast 2. marketing (sharing clips on LinkedIn and attracting more people)

@Matthew Thompson Great thoughts β€” inspired by Sam's and Alex's approach. Makes total sense! Let's not ever lose this craft which got us into the thing in the first place. I love what Blake with Kollege is building.

Obviously, yes but I'm exploring another idea right now, @Aimane Id, to creating a mastermind including shared service (editing, VA, marketing) for podcaster. In my German community called 'Podcaster Club' it raises some good interest.
