Welcome to the Dojo!
What’s up guys! Comment on this post and introduce yourself. Whether you’re a college athlete, a fighter, or training for life — The Dojo is where we come to grow. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. Here, we train like athletes, think like athletes, and live like athletes — because everyone’s an athlete when they commit to becoming their best self. 💥 What The Dojo Is About We’re here to grow together — to build strength, discipline, and community. ✅ Share your wins daily. Big or small — let the tribe see your progress. ✅ Post your goals. What are you training for right now? ✅ Support others. Drop a comment or word of encouragement. Energy multiplies when we lift each other up. 🧠 Weekly Zoom Calls Every week I’ll host a live Zoom call to help you on your fitness and life journey — training, mindset, recovery, nutrition, and the athlete lifestyle. You’ll find call times and links in the Events tab. ⚔️ The Mission To create a community of warriors dedicated to growth, mastery, and living with purpose. Train smart. Think strong. Live fully. Welcome to The Dojo — Introduce yourself below 👇 Tell us: - Who you are, where are you from - What you’re training for - And what being an athlete means to you - One win you had from today Let’s rise together. – Sensei Phil 🥋🔥

Hi! I’m Danielle. I started boxing to get stronger to help with lower back problems but it turns out I really like fighting! Training for a second fight and general fitness so I can age with grace and kick some ass along the way.
@Agnes Mao congrats! Thats such a big deal!
To me journaling is extremely impactful
Here’s an example of my morning journal. I write out my day: that way I have structure. Gratitude: to keep my mind positive and remind myself everyday of the good in life. Goals: to focus on why I’m doing it all and to keep me moving forward. I also journal in the evening, that’s more free writing with gratitude at the end. Do you journal? How do you structure it?
To me journaling is extremely impactful
I always keep a sketchbook around for art ideas, that one I keep totally structure free and use it for free writing and ideas as they come- I need sketchbooks to be pressure free with no structure. The last couple weeks I’ve been trying something similar to what Phillip posted in a separate journal. In the morning before I get going I try to write 3 points of gratitude and 3 goals for the day. The following day or evening writing down one moment of beauty or joy from the day. The moment of beauty reminds me to be a good observer and look around/ pay attention to whimsy, the natural world, and where my joy stems from- always helps when things feel tough.
What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
The Muppets Christmas Carol is mine with the love is gone. They took it out in the theatrical release and the movie is so much better with it in. Second is The Night Before.

End of the year discussion-
Question 1. What was your biggest lesson learned this year? How will that lesson help you move forward in 2026?

This year I proved to myself I was more capable of things than I previously thought I was. I want to hold myself with higher confidence this next year and not overthink things so much!
Running is hard!
