Hello everyone new to here. Not sure if there is anyone whonis from Cali. I live near Temecula, Ca. Wine country. I would like to meet new people with the same passions. I am 45 years old, married and 2 wonderful kiddos and Mexican-American. Can't wait to learn from anyone willing to teach.

@Omar Perez That gave me a good laugh! I must have mixed up conversations, so thanks for pointing that out. To be honest, I don't know how to play the piano either! 😄 I have someone who's been teaching me, so I'm still very much a beginner and learning as I go. Now I'm curious if piano isn't your thing, what hobbies do you enjoy the most? Is traveling still at the top of your list, or is there something else you're really passionate about these days? And since you seem to have such a positive outlook, what's one thing you've always wanted to learn but just haven't had the chance to yet?

@Anaa Jones Hi! Thank you for reaching out. Yes, everything is going well on my end, and I hope everything is alright with you too. It's nice to connect with you! I'm curious, what's something exciting or meaningful that's been keeping you busy lately? I'd love to hear more about you.

@Carolina Flores Hi! 😊 I think that's a great idea. Trying something new with coffee is always exciting, and sometimes the best ideas come from being willing to experiment. I'm curious, what made you want to try something different with coffee? Is there a specific drink, roasting style, or coffee experience you're thinking about? I'd love to hear your ideas who knows, you might inspire me to try something new too!
A new bee
Hi everyone! I’m really excited to be here. My daughter and I are about to take the leap and start the business we’ve been dreaming about for years. Funny enough, we first imagined opening a cozy specialty coffee shop and only later becoming a roastery. But the more we talked about our strengths, our story, and the kind of impact we wanted to have, the more we realized we had it backwards. So we’re starting with a specialty coffee roastery focused on B2B, while keeping a small takeaway coffee window as a way to share our coffee and build our brand with the local community. Coffee has been part of my family’s life for over a century. We’ve been producing commercial coffee in Brazil for generations, but I’ve always dreamed of being part of the specialty coffee world. The best surprise was discovering that my daughter—a creative artist—had fallen in love with that dream too, especially with the family stories behind every bean. We’re at the beginning of this journey, and I know we have a lot to learn. That’s one of the reasons I joined this community. I’m looking forward to learning from those who’ve already been through the challenges we’re about to face, sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and hopefully giving back as we grow. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

@Evangelina Cardozo Welcome to the community! 😊 Your story was really inspiring to read. I love how you and your daughter are building this dream together. There's something special about turning a family tradition into a business, especially when it has over a century of history behind it. Starting with a specialty coffee roastery and growing your brand through a takeaway coffee window sounds like a thoughtful approach. I also admire that you took the time to think about your strengths before jumping in. That kind of planning usually makes a big difference in the long run. I'm curious what made your daughter fall in love with specialty coffee? Was there one particular family story or moment that inspired her, or did it happen over time? Also, since your family has been producing coffee in Brazil for generations, do you have a favorite coffee that you never get tired of drinking? I'd love to hear what makes it special to you. Wishing you both every success on this exciting journey. I have a feeling your passion and family story are going to make your brand stand out.

@Evangelina Cardozo Aww, thank you for sharing that! ❤️ Your story is beautiful, and I think it's amazing that you and your daughter are turning your family's coffee legacy into something special. She sounds like an incredible young woman, and you must be so proud of her for choosing to follow this path. I love how every cup of coffee reminds you of home that makes your journey even more meaningful. I'm curious, what's your biggest goal with your coffee business? What do you hope people will remember most about your coffee and your brand?
New video: “Not only motivation, it’s a contract with yourself.”
Most people wait for motivation. That’s why most people never start. Motivation fades. Discipline slips. Life gets in the way. So instead of relying on feelings…Make a decision. Today, I just published a new video:“Not only motivation, it’s a contract with yourself.” This is where things get real. You’re not just dreaming about your coffee shop anymore—you’re committing to it. No hype. No fluff. Just a clear line:👉 Either you sign… or you don’t. If you’re serious about opening your coffee shop, this is your moment. Watch the video. Sign the contract (Only for YOU!). And start acting like an owner ☕
