Share Your Postpartum Visit Ideas
Is there anything special or unique you like to share at postpartum visits?? I'll go first! I always offer scalp massage. I think it's so regulating and nourishing for mama to receive this and hold baby on her chest. Almost all of my clients fall asleep to it. Who doesn't love their hair played with and their scalp touched lightly!!? Curious what else you all like to do

I include warming food and beverages for each postpartum visit that the client selects before birth. When I arrive, I ask if they would like to enjoy any of it before we get started.
regulation when on call for a birth
just curious how other doulas manage to stay grounded and well-rested with the some of the more nervous energy or excitement of "mama could go into labor any day!" keeping my phone on at all times and checking it several times during the night, just in case...i am realizing it can take me out of the present and focusing on the future. curious if anyone has preparation or rhythms they practice?

I prepare my "go-bags" too at 37 weeks, keep a checklist on my phone of what I want to remember to take, and go to bed as early as possible those weeks specifically. I also prepare my self-care for after the couple days following a birth - including meals, acupuncture/Reiki, extra rest, journaling.
10 Templates for Doulas Who Want to Show Up on Instagram
Stop wondering what to post. I did the work for you! Remember: the goal isn't to go viral. It's to share your voice. Your feed will become a page where future clients can scroll through to learn about your values and the way you work. A future client will one day scroll your feed and *feel* you before they ever meet you! And that's what builds trust. 10 Post Templates Here Try different formats (carousels, b-roll, talking heads) and see what feels good. And if you have any questions or if you use one of these this week, lmk in the comments! I want to see what you create!

These ideas will be a big help! I've been wanted to add some additional content without chasing it constantly. Thank you for sharing!
2026 Goals
How do you want to show up as a doula this year? Who is the doula you’re becoming? Or what goals do you have for 2026? 💫

My goals include staying active and present in community, and offering a new childbirth education series. I want to show up attuned to the seasons/rhythms/spirals, healthy and well cared for, for myself and others.
What Your Doula Training Didn’t Teach You
What is one thing your doula training didn’t prepare you for? (and you wish it did)! (Remember participation can win you a free 1:1 <3 )

My doula training didn't prepare me with information on fetal positioning, which I feel like is wildly helpful training to understand. I believe it's because it borders more on assessing and potential interventions with a client, but I feel so much more stable in the birthing space with it.
