Is YouTube good for business growth?
Hey members. I have a few businesses which I've transitioned over the last couple of years to allow me to live in Asia (Cambodia) and run the businesses online. I currently spend thousands per month on paid advertising such as Google ads and social media ads and I came across a YouTube video which claims that if I put my time and effort into YouTube by way of creating videos consistently, it could replace my current paid ads. I wondered if anyone else has any input or experience on this subject? @Brett Dev I know you've done well on your YouTube channel in terms of growth and engagement with over 50k subscribers and some videos seeing over 240k views which is fantastic! But my question to you is that with this level of growth, I notice that you don't post videos on YouTube consistently (I'm always on the lookout for a new Brett Dev video). So I wanted to ask if it's purely because you're too busy or is it hardly worth your time creating videos on YouTube even with your larger subscriber amount? To clarify, I understand that monetization from YouTube isn't everything but I'm wondering about it in terms of gaining new business, sponsorship offers and so on. I operate in a very niche market and the YouTube space for my niche is really for the taking at the moment. I only have 1.8k subscribers on our YouTube and another business in the same industry has over 30k. I always wonder if 30k subscribers would be benefiting his business but as he takes the time out to create new videos I assume it is. Thanks for any input!

From what I have seen, youtubers get some business due to their channels. Same with tiktok. You just have to be consistent. Also youtube and tiktok are free. As long as you direct them to the right place and you create engaging content, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Making money in the food industry
I was in thailand a couple months ago. And im looking for a normal food job over there outside of working online. Is that even possible?

Have you tried asking around? I know that in thailand you can't really have a job that a native can get, but maybe talk to the consulate there? and talk to the natives there? See if there are foreigners that work in that industry? Maybe partner up with natives as a business owner in the food industry?
Maybe you can make the first step
It is not that difficult to move to Thailand or to any other Asian countries and start build up your business. You can come here as a teacher. All you need is a diploma in any field and a good English knowledge. You can get a job if your English is not excellent and also if you don’t have any teaching course or experience. Come over for a holiday when the semester ends because that is the time when many schools are looking for teachers, You can send in your application online to as many schools as you can a couple of weeks before leaving so if you have a call you can go to the interview. You can walk in as well and see what they say. You have nothing to lose. You already have a nice holiday and maybe a job too. This way you have the visa, you have income that covers not only your cost of living but you have some extra money that you can use to explore Thailand or any other Asian countries . You have a lot of breaks during the semester so you can go to different cities for a few days to feel the vibe. In the evenings and weekends ( and school breaks) you can work on building up your online business, and meet other digital nomads,. This way you are in Asia, have a feeling what it is like to live here, You have the possibility to explore different cities, and you are actually working on building up your online business. All this without risking you becoming homeless. You just have to change the mindset that it is not possible for me and it is only a future goal that is so distant that I will never come to live it. Make the first step without crazy moves that jeopardizes your safety.

Its the first step that is the scariest. Then once you've done that, your body and brain goes into the motion and follows the trail. For me, I went to mexico, and that was an eye opener. I plan to visit many countries first to see which one I prefer. The only reason I haven't visited Thailand is my cat. She is 16 years old and afraid of travel. If Thailand wasn't 23h away, I would go in a heart beat. But my cat isn't going to make it 23hrs. I don't want to get rid of her because she is family to me. (maybe it's an excuse) but I take responsibility for my actions and that is the choice I made. But I am thinking of maybe going 3 months to test it out and maybe going during the harsh winters of canada. Until I can permanently move. So slow and steady for me.
help for a task? there's an ai for that
I use AI for my business and for my work, and I came across this particular AI website where you write what task you need help with and it will recommend different AI apps that can help you. There are so many AI apps out there, so I thought this was pretty cool and I thought I would share it with everyone here. The ai site is called what ai can do today https://whataicandotoday.com maybe we can make an ai site thread, where we post the ai sites/apps we use?

Who to teach online? The lowdown (if you're into teaching online!)
My diary is full, and I am now well on the way to being free, the shackles are off and collecting dust, yet I still have 3 months of contractual commitment at the University. Still I am able to fit all enquiries into my schedule, the wife says to rest, I say I will take as many as I can! We know some students will drop off as they achieve their goals (IELTS), and more will join. I have 11 paying students, 4 middle school, 1 business woman, and the rest are university students all wanting to apply for higher education in the west. From a financial point of view, IELT teaching and preparation, IELTS stands for international English language testing system, is where the good hourly rate is. My wife made a couple of calls to local training centres to compare prices, they charge anywhere from 350 RMB to 600 RMB, some charge 900 RMB for a crash course (300 rmb= £32=$41). When I started I was charging 150rmb per hour, offering discounts to get the students on board, now I charge 280RMB an hour, and they do not blink to pay that! The middle school kids are also a good earner if you group them in groups of 4 or 5, where I charge 125 per student per hour. I will give up the middle school and focus on IELTS, and either my hourly rate will go up, or my teaching hour is reduce to 45-50 minutes........ There is plenty of students needing IELTS.........

that is awesome. One thing I learned is that, if you charge too cheap, people associate that with your worth so they either think something is wrong or that you are too good to be true. Also people seem to value more when its more expensive. They are more serious also. We have to know our worth and keep it. Plus, you have a valuable skill so use it :)
