Is YouTube good for business growth?
Hey members. I have a few businesses which I've transitioned over the last couple of years to allow me to live in Asia (Cambodia) and run the businesses online. I currently spend thousands per month on paid advertising such as Google ads and social media ads and I came across a YouTube video which claims that if I put my time and effort into YouTube by way of creating videos consistently, it could replace my current paid ads. I wondered if anyone else has any input or experience on this subject? @Brett Dev I know you've done well on your YouTube channel in terms of growth and engagement with over 50k subscribers and some videos seeing over 240k views which is fantastic! But my question to you is that with this level of growth, I notice that you don't post videos on YouTube consistently (I'm always on the lookout for a new Brett Dev video). So I wanted to ask if it's purely because you're too busy or is it hardly worth your time creating videos on YouTube even with your larger subscriber amount? To clarify, I understand that monetization from YouTube isn't everything but I'm wondering about it in terms of gaining new business, sponsorship offers and so on. I operate in a very niche market and the YouTube space for my niche is really for the taking at the moment. I only have 1.8k subscribers on our YouTube and another business in the same industry has over 30k. I always wonder if 30k subscribers would be benefiting his business but as he takes the time out to create new videos I assume it is. Thanks for any input!

@Brett Dev I appreciate your response, thank you.
Anyone used Airwallex?
Hi all, I'm moving to Asia shortly and I'm also moving my business registrations to Hong Kong. I've been recommended to use Airwallex for my business "bank" account and just wondered if anyone else has used them. They seem fine with good reviews but at the same time I do feel a little reluctant to move my business funds from UK to Airwallex. Thanks

Receiving business payments
Hi all, I run a services business which is currently paying a lot of fees using the stripe payment gateway and I wondered if it would be possible to request payments directly into our bank account to avoid the stripe fees. Our customers have a discussion with us prior to booking our service where we then tell them how to make payment which is usually via the website. Could we not just ask them to pay directly into our bank or would that be seen as unprofessional? I understand this wouldn't work for e-commerce but that is not our business model. Just wanted to get your input and thoughts please.

@Scott Rees I'll look into Wise thanks. It's mainly payments from UK. We do accept international payments but the bulk of fees are from UK payments.
How long did it take you to move?
Purely out of interest, from when you made a solid decision to leave your home country to actually moving, how long did the process take? I have planned to move to Asia and although I am super eager to leave the UK there are some things I need to wrap up such as getting tenants into two of my properties, packing my things up and some other lose ends. As much as I'd like to just go now, getting tenants into properties for example will help to sustain my lifestyle in Asia therefore must be done before I go. What did you all do with your items such as your belongings from your home? Sell it? put it into storage? Or did you ditch it and just leave? Interested to hear your stories.

All this talk about working online Got me thinking 🤔
What would happen if for any reason it stopped you got ill something changed and the money dried up what would you do? Have you got a plan B/back up plan while living here in Thailand or any other country not your own? It's something you have to consider.. I can speak from experience and it's not nice even tho I had multiple streams of income. They all failed. I've since rectifyed this now I'm getting back on track. Just take it easy out there. I'm not afraid of failure I will fight back and wake up with a new day mindset I tell it like it is but it made me feel terrible for quite sometime. It's not all rainbows and unicorns "living the dream" Anyway I hope you all have a great weekend I know I will💙🙏🏼 😁👍🏼

Work hard, save as much money as possible, put as much of it as possible into property, rent those properties out. Rinse and repeat. If all else fails, you then have the rental income to survive on.
