Paris tips?
Heading to Paris next week with the family for an extended weekend and hoping to squeeze in some guitar-focused music while we’re there. I’m particularly interested in jazz fusion. If anyone has recommendations for venues, specific recurring gigs or players to look out for, I’d really appreciate it. Also open to any general guitar related tips in Paris. Stores worth visiting, luthiers, museum exhibits, anything of that sort. Thanks in advance for any pointers!

I've been to Paris twice, got pickpocketed once in the metro, and never had enough time to do anything guitar- or music-related. The only tip I can give you is: be careful in the metro. 😂

I decided to do every part for 10 days and just finished Part 1. As Jon mentions in the description it "might feel a little dry" which is quite an understatement, BUT it gives you time to really focus every aspect. I realized a lot of things that i usually didn't notice. Biggest realization for me was that tension was always creeping in when i focused on a certain aspect. Not only into my fretting hand, i realized that sometimes even one of my legs started tighening when i focused on keeping my hand relaxed 😬 So the takeaway of Part1 for me is to rmemeber to really keep my whole body relaxed. I noticed that magically my fingers keep much closer distance to the fretboard now. Even the pinky.

@Jon Bjork Hi Jon, I have a question about Part 3 of the depp dive. When I do the pull-offs in the second part of the workout, I often find that the string above the string I'm doing the pull-offs on sounds a little. This happens especially when I lift the index finger (on the 232/242/343 parts fingerwise). I hope you know what I mean. I normally use the tip of my index finger to mute the higher (towards the ceiling) string. Long story short: How much attention should I pay to this during the exercise to ensure that no other strings are accidentally ringing?
Practice Rountine
Hey Everyone, It's been a while since I've posted. I'm just curious to know what everyone's practice routine is?. Mine tends to be all over the place. A structured one would be more beneficial for improvement.

Hi, I choose a focus for a certain period of time (in my case at the moment, the Legato Deep Dive). That gives me something I definitely do every day. When I have more time, I use part of it for short 5-minute technical units (e.g., planting when string skipping), mixed with repeating songs and solos that I already know and the rest of the time to learn new songs/solos. When I'm sitting in front of the TV, I endlessly noodle through short parts that I have difficulty with. But I can only do that when I'm alone; my wife would kill me if I ever tried to do that while she wants to watch TV 😂 So I think it's a kind of structured approach but not very strict besides the thing I decided to focus on.
