For those currently using CreditStrong, which plan did you choose and why?
I’m looking at: • Revolv ($15+/month)• Magnum ($16+/month)• Instal ($28/month) For those who have used any of these: - Which plan did you start with? - How long did it take to report to the bureaus? - Did you see a meaningful FICO score increase? - If you were starting over today, would you choose the same plan? I’m especially interested in feedback from ITIN holders and non-U.S. residents. I’m leaning toward Revolv because of the revolving tradeline, but I’d love to hear from people who compared it with Magnum or Instal. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience and data points!

@Black Ararat Thanks for sharing! Was your Revolv the Basic $1,000 plan, and if you were starting over today, would you still open Magnum or just stick with Revolv?

@Black Ararat Thanks! Since you already opened both, have you noticed lenders or pre-approvals responding differently after Magnum reported, or has most of the benefit come from Revolv so far?
APPROVED: Alliant CU | Fully remote | w/ ITIN | Foreign address
Anyone looking for a US checking / savings account should check out Alliant, the process was pretty straightforward. I was drawn to Alliant specifically because they allowed W-8BENs at initial account opening, and you don't need to have a US address. They are explicitly NRA-friendly, so no in-person visits required either. The only catch is that you need to fill out a "paper" application instead of going through the online process. Here's the link to the form, which you can fax, mail, or send via the chat. I did it via the chat, I just said I wanted to submit a paper application and if they could please forward it to the back office. Documents I submitted: - Signed form (signed in wet ink and scanned) - Passport - ITIN letter - W-8BEN - Utility bill evidencing my street address as stated in the form Timeline: - 17 April – submitted documents via chat - 26 April – received email stating my debit card was shipped on 23 April - 27 April – called them to ask for my member number so I could setup online banking; details sent via secure email (account opening date was stated as 22 April) So overall it was a quick and hassle free process, I'll update this post when I receive my debit card!

Hi everyone, do you know if they are still NRA-friendly today? Have anyone tried applying recently?
Capitalone approved, Quicksilver 500$ unsecured and closed 2 days thereafter
Recently I received my ITIN with the help of Taxsym, which was very good experience. After a quick chat with @Ain - Cloud Resident and studying the classroom (as premium member), I gave C1 pre approval a shot. What a bummer - no offers! Just dont take no as an answer so I tried again after some days passed, and like magic 2 offers appeared this time. Platinum secured and Quicksilver unsecured. So I grab the quicksilver offer, request for the usual passport and itin paper and getting approved for 500$ unsecured limit 2 days later. Thanks to @Ain - Cloud Resident and the community, theres some solid stuff here. Edit: card was shipped but on the same day account got closed without any extra activity on my side.

Personal Line of Credit (PLOC)
Hi everyone, I’m a non-U.S. resident with an ITIN and I’m currently building U.S. credit. Has anyone here successfully obtained a Personal Line of Credit (PLOC) using only an ITIN? If so: - Which bank or credit union approved you? - What credit score did you have when approved? - How much credit history did you have? - What was your starting credit line? - Did you need U.S. income or proof of assets? I’m trying to understand the best path from secured credit cards to eventually qualifying for a PLOC. Thanks for sharing your experience!

@John Flack Do you know which bank ITIN can apply for one?

@Dawn Garton Thanks, Dawn. That’s helpful. It sounds like building a relationship with the right credit union may be more important than focusing on traditional banks for a PLOC. Are there any credit unions you’ve seen approve ITIN holders for a PLOC?
For those of you building U.S. credit with an ITIN and multiple credit cards, how do you keep track of everything each month?
Between payment due dates, statement closing dates, utilization, and autopay, it seems like it could get stressful once you have several cards. Do you use a spreadsheet, an app, calendar reminders, or just autopay everything? I’d love to hear what system works best for you.

@K P That makes a lot of sense. Since you’re already funding your brokerage account every month, it sounds more efficient than moving money between multiple accounts. Thanks for explaining.

@P Mc Interesting. That’s pretty much how I do it too. I keep autopay as a backup, but I usually pay manually before the due date. Good to know about Synchrony taking longer to process payments.
