MP101 16 bar Samples & Loops idea
Here is my attempt at a 16 BAR idea made out of samples and loops. Let me know what you think. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lNLnirifqdEdA85PvQQZP_3-aLvB5ExG/view?usp=sharing

, z Thanks. The task was to build a 8 or 16 bar music idea using only loops and samples.

@Mystèr Bobo Thanks!
Need help with the Foundation First method
Currently I am working on the Final Mix assignment on MP101. I am trying the "Foundation"- method. I watched the instruction video several times and I get my Snare to -5 Db TP en the VU-meter around 0. Then I set the Kick to peak -5 Db TP. As soon as I combine them, my peak occasionally jumps to -2.2 Db TP when there's a fill on the snare (end of the chorus). I cannot seem to get them together at -5 TP. Or should I just focus an that fill? Can this be because of a build-up of frequencies? I tried EQ-ing things, that does not seem to get the job done. Any recommendations/tips? Or should I just wait the the Foundation-method and finish MP101 first? Thanks in advance!

@Chris van der Linden I am still strugling with this as well. Tried clippers, compression, EQ and cannot seem to find the solution. I tried the "Building a Foundation" in "Mixing & Mastering Cheat Sheets". I cannot get the desired results yet. Will try the suggestions given here. If I manage I will let you know how I got the result.

@Phillip Winters I have the same experience and cannot get the way it's shown in that video. Will stick to normal gain staging for now.

I downloaded it today. There are some nice new features and some cosmetic updates. I like the addition of the Mustang and Rumble plugin. I played around with the amps and presets of the Mustang plugin (guitar amp sim), and it sounds very nice. Is it worth the extra cash for an update? If I didn't have the subscription, I would have stayed on Studio One version 7.

Here is a nice tip from Lukas Ruschitzka concerning S1/Studio Pro updates. https://youtu.be/QbH5qX89Mps?si=Yy_-ONd4dDLfJfl_
What's your DAW?
What DAWs is everyone using and why did you choose that particular one or more? Mine is Steinberg Nuendo 4.3. I also just got FL Studio.

I use Studio One (Fender Studio Pro) for the same reasons azs mentioned in the comment above. I started with the free version of Pro Tools, which I liked very much. But I couldn't justify the costs for how often I use it. I tried several other DAW's and Studio One was the one I liked best out of those. I went for the subscription model as I like to have the newest version and all the extra goodies. Also the subscription comes with loads of tutorials.
Broke Plugins
Instead of going broke buying plugins, join VIP and save money!! I have learned more of how this all works and this has lead to a better experience joining VIP. Wish I would have known this before buying plugins.

Already got more plugins than I know how to handle. This is also the reason I joined VIP. Finally realised I have to put in the work and time and not waste more money on plugins when I don't know what they do and how they work. A Pricey lesson. But when I understand more about the mechanics of the plugins, then at least I already have plenty to choose from 😅
