@Phillip Rose VSX i biught before I had heard or used ollox1 and have the platinum edition with all the rooms cars etc. Very good, then tried ollox1 as per caleb and the ref is 1db drift, so accurate and neutral. Each pair is put on a dummy and calibrated per pair! text file to add into the softward and you go! Amazing mixes and masters now
What's your DAW?
What DAWs is everyone using and why did you choose that particular one or more? Mine is Steinberg Nuendo 4.3. I also just got FL Studio.

i had cubase on atari 1024, nuendo, the free presonus studio (useless as no vsts unless paid fo), found cakewalk by bandlab (now sonar), its free and does what I need. Pretty stable on win 11. Have fre protools and ableton from focusrite but not a fan of either. Never tried reaper or fl tools. Logic I would use if I had an Apple for free!
Shocking and embarrassing 🤦 OMG, I’ve been doing EXACTLY that…
I had to share this… So I just discovered the mud recipe: 1.Take one chord progression. 2.Copy/paste it to multiple instruments 3.Keep everything in the same octave 4.Mix… and wonder why it sounds like a …. (Very bad word) Yeah… but I’ve been doing EXACTLY that 😱 I….. AM…… SO….. SHOCKED…. Turns out it’s not a mixing issue. It’s a production issue. But I had no idea that digging into harmony and arrangement would reveal this.

@Timothy Tucker kevs technique on cut mid eq the keys in centre field ie dips below vox, but use bandpass filters in mid sides to boost. Result keys sep from vox in own space. When I record keys I have in mind where they are going to fit in the song, ie panned in the image. Each with space as Caleb has said many times,,
Vocals: Mouth De-Click | How to
UPDATE: Check the comments for great solutions! -- Izotope RX has excellent repair features, the one I really need is de-click, but the price is really high for the necessary version (around 500 bucks). Does anybody know of an affordable alternative? How do you solve this problem when you have too many clicks and need to remove them? Also: any tips for reducing mouth noises when recording? I recorded very close to my SM58 (with a pop filter) because the closeness gave me the sound I preferred. Should I hydrate more? Or less? :D
