Good AM!
It’s Saturday morning. If you are reading this …. Go outside and get some sunlight in your eyes. Stand barefoot on some grass. Breathe in the cool air. If you do… leave a comment and let me know how it feels 🙌😁💯💥.

I do this every morning (weather permitting)... part of my ECR... read, coffee, outside barefoot, sun in the eyes, feed my fish in my water lily pond (water lilies for reference)
Evening Sun for IER
Lately I have been enjoying the evening sun light to start my wind down for the night. What are a few ways people out there are slowing down at the end of the day?

This is great @Robert McKinney We like to walk the neighborhood in the evening as the temperatures are right, and many folks are out doing the same. We also get off any screen at least one hour before bed, read, relax, and get ready for sleep.
New Mantra to contemplate
Greetings all, I was talking with a fellow MSM practitioner the other day about why we use mental fitness tactics. He had a great phrase that can be used as a good mantra. That phrase is … Pause Before Pissed! As in, take a moment to see the stop sign and take a BAMO breath before you start to get uncentered and loose your cool!

Love it! Remaining calm in chaos is a super power!!
A MSM Formula for travel
Greetings All! I wanted to share something with this group. I am traveling for work right now, so I a starting my days in a hotel alone. I do get to focus more on me to start off my day with my ECR’s. Yet as I move through my day at conferences, what life throws at me can change. So my IER’s must be adaptable. Then I get update from home that can be drama filled. It is an odd headspace to manage. Are there any other travelers out there that have found ways to balance the adventure of travel while not letting drama from home drag you down?

I remember when life was very lifey with me, and I traveled a bunch internationally, and had a lot of things going on at home.. I was doubling down on the ECRs... really being as intentional as I could with breath/ meditation/ exercise/ cold exposures, as I knew I was under a lot of stress... then through the days as things came in I would dissect into categories of first... what is the reality? what is my mind telling me that may not be exactly true? what is in control? (focus here) what is out of my control? (accept and let go.... sometimes with scratch marks from my nails, but let go!)... and I go through this mental exercise while in the most regulated state I can be in which is where deep breaths come in. Hope this is helpful, and keep crushing it Rob.
Mental Endurance
🚀 How did I manage to cover 70 miles with 18,000 feet of climbing in just 29 hours? It wasn’t just physical training—it was a combination of Positive Mental Attitude, Active Posturing, and a technique called Illeism (speaking about yourself in the third person). 🏔️🔍 Positive Mental Attitude kept me focused on what I could do, not on the discomfort. When things got tough, I reminded myself of my strengths and stayed solution-focused. When I focused on solutions, and the things I wanted to happen they got bigger. Same is true for problems, and the things I am trying to avoid.. speak to what you want and don't give power to the things you do not. 💪 Active Posturing—standing tall and maintaining an open, strong body language—boosted my resilience and helped me push through mental and physical fatigue. It’s amazing how much energy your posture can give you. I walked with hands on hips at times and could feel the energy raise in my body. In the picture you can see me in a victory pose, feeling powerful I stand powerfully, but when I don't feel powerful I can still stand with power, and bring about some confidence! 🗣️ Illeism helped me stay objective. By saying, “Chris Norris can handle this,” "Chris Norris is strong" and "Chris Norris is the type of guy that finishes things" I distanced myself from pain and doubt, which made it easier to stay in control. It also works to bring about identity based actions, and habits, as I form in my mind the type of person I am and want to remain, so the difficult actions become less difficult. These strategies don’t just apply to endurance events. They’re life skills for overcoming everyday challenges. What can you take away from this to apply to your life? Let's talk about it!
