Your workouts are probably doing more harm than good.
Look… something strange is happening to a lot of men over 40. Their bodies are slowly turning against them. Energy’s dropping, muscle feels flat, and belly fat just… sticks. If that sounds familiar, then read every word of it. Because it’s just not your willpower, age, or genetics… It’s biology. See, once you hit your 40s, the wrong kind of training can send a stress hormone called cortisol through the roof In other words? The “manhood-crushing” hormone that kills testosterone, slows recovery, And locks your body in permanent fat-storage mode. So it doesn’t matter how clean you’re eating or how many hours you’re grinding in the gym… If you’re training the wrong way, cortisol is quietly undoing everything. It’s like trying to drive with one foot on the gas and the other on the brake. You’re burning out your engine and going nowhere fast. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Because there’s a smarter, joint-friendly way to train that actually works with your hormones instead of against them. A way to reboot your body’s natural engine and fire up your metabolism again. And here’s the best part… You can do it without living in the gym, starving yourself, or giving up the foods you actually enjoy. You’ll still have the time and energy to live life, hang with the family, and feel like your old self again. Two days from now, I’m breaking it all down for you… The exact method that’s helping busy men in their 40s, 50s, and 60s… …rebuild muscle, torch fat, and boost that inner spark again. Same time, right here. You won’t want to miss it. – Coach MANdler P.S. ~ Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you’re pumped, and ALL IN on this new program!!!

Busy Dad Training!
After some much needed rest this weekend, I was back at it with a vengeance on Monday morning. I was inspired by a YouTube channel that has been gaining popularity called Busy Dad Training: https://www.youtube.com/@busydadtraining Last summer I really got into burpees and body weight workouts. This summer I really got into kettlebells. Kettlebells have worked wonders for my posterior chain, back, and overall strength. I love kettlebells and I plan to keep working with them, but I have been neglecting burpees, body weight, and overall conditioning. Considering I will be a dad any day now, my wife is due August 1, I thought I would try out the Busy Dad Training method. Workout: 20 minutes - as many Navy Seal Burpees as possible. That's it. I set a timer. I managed to knock out 50 Navy Seal Burpees right as time was expiring. That is equivalent to: 50 down and ups (burpees), 100 mountain climbers, and 150 pushups. Not too bad, although last summer I would have definitely finished more than 50. I am going to incorporate burpees back into my training with more frequency. I miss this type of punishment.

I did Busy Dad burpees a few years ago. They condition you like crazy. I prefer the conditioning with kettlebells. Congrats on the new baby. Get your sleep now 😃
Got low back pain? Do This!!!
Nothing is as unsexy however NECESSARY conversation to have regarding your workouts as your warmup is. Don’t pay enough respect to it, and it’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN you’re gonna get injured. And this only gets MORE TRUE as we age. But I really don’t think you need to spend an insane amount of time on it the way a lot of “movement” guys suggest. In my experience, a simple one that covers activation of main muscle groups, joint mobility drills, and SOMETHING to excite your nervous system (think a set of plyometrics, med ball throws, or even swings) is all you need to avoid injury and prime yourself for solid gains. Here’s a solid one I did that also addresses a lot of our causes and concerns for low back pain. Check it out, deploy it, and let me know ow how it works for you!!!

@Jason Anderson That seems like a good warmup. It gets the blood flowing!
**LIVE Q & A**
Hey guys, I’m on the tail end of creating that “Man-Maker” program I told y’all about a month or so back, and now that I’m gonna have way more time to be more consistently present here, I wanted to organize a LIVE Q&A. Before I do though, I wanted to know (1) what time slot works best for you guys (morning, midday, or evening), and (2) what suggestions you’d like to focus primarily on? Leave your responses in the comments section below!! P.S. Check out the SWEET kiddie tattoo my wife made for my daughter! And yes, I did used to have a mullet!
