Price increase promo?
The last few days, I've sent emails to my list offering to help people run a 36-hour promo. A few specific requirements for that promo: 1. An offer you've promoted often, and your list knows about and wants, but hasn't pulled the trigger on 2. A price of $300+ It was surprising to me how many people who raised their hands only had offers in the $27-$57 range. If you want to make more money with your email list, an easy thing you can do today is to raise your prices, because: 1. If the top thing you sell is $27 instead of, say, $297, it takes 11 more buyers to make the same money 2. Selling a $297 product is NOT 11x more difficult than a $27 product, and in many cases it can actually be easier 3. Your overall positioning is way better if you offer something at $297+ rather than if you simply sell $27 offers On that last point: Imagine paying somebody $2k/month for coaching if they only sell a $27 offer. It's possible you might decide to do so, but to me at least, the price disparity immediately puts questions in my mind. On the other hand, imagine paying somebody $2k/month for coaching if they repeatedly sell a $500 course. $2k in this case immediately sounds affordable, and if anything, I'd be willing to pay more and I'd still feel like it's a good deal. So how do you raise your prices and reap the benefits? As with everything else, you start with what you've already got. In other words, simply raise the prices of an offer you already have. You don't have to go to $27 to $297. Any kind of a meaningful increase is likely to make you sales during the promo, and be good for business long term. So lemme ask you: Do you want to run a price increase promo this month? And not feel alone, not feel like you're going to screw things up, not wonder what to do? Vote away below. If we get enough people a-voting, we can make a challenge out of it and run it together.

Price increase promo?

I don't have digital product yet... but maybe I can do a price increase on something else.
Going broad...
Does anyone have a broad target market that they serve in all sorts of different ways? Reason I ask is that my target market are dads who want to live more intentionally, be present and just better overall men (I guess it's self-development which makes me want to throw up lol), but I realise there's all sorts of ways to help them ie fitness, quitting social media, productivity etc. And I guess I'm having a little trouble narrowing down so looking to see how others go about it.

@Brett Freeman like John said. The more specific my offer and promise is, the easier it is to close sales
Do you have a promo or launch planned for March?
No, I'm not offering to do it for you. But I am curious. Are you planning to sell something unique to your list in March? And to have a deadline? And to send people a bunch of emails before the deadline expires?

My answer is none of the above - I don't have anything planned, but I wish I did! One thing I learned from my small cohort "launch" is that I seem to do a lot better selling things on a deadline than just promoting my general DFY services. It was so much easier to come up with emails and be excited about each email when I was eagerly trying to drum up more sales before the deadline. So now I just have to think of something I could sell on a deadline...

@John Bejakovic Yes, I guess that's what I have to work on now
Do you have an offer that sold to your list... but not to affiliates?
I've got affiliates on my mind (ask me why). And I was wondering... do you have an offer that sold to your list... ... but that you never even tried to get affiliates to promote... ... or you tried it and they wouldn't... ... or they would, but it didn't go great? By the way, no judgment here. I've been in all 3 situations. Have you? Any of them? I'm curious. Let me know below:

I've never tried to promote my DFY services, I think the biggest blockage is that I haven't even written proper sales pages for most of my offers. And of course fear of rejection :)
How I got my list to pay me $400 to create my own lead magnet
I've been working with John on monetizing my list, and after several weeks of asking lots of questions to my readers, we realized the following: 1) Creating a lead magnet was something that would solve problems for many of my readers 2) I myself don't have a proper lead magnet with which to steadily grow my list with high quality subscribers So - John conceived of the idea of running a live cohort for a minimal price, in which I would build a lead magnet for myself while showing the cohort members my process, and giving them feedback as they create theirs. Jan 29 - initial tease to my list and LinkedIn to gauge interest Feb 4 - official "launch" with an email describing the live cohort Feb 13 - registration closed Total marketing: 12 emails to my small list & 10 LinkedIn posts Zero ad spend. 15 days from concept creation to launch closing. 4 cohort members paying me $99 each. Our first call is on Monday, and I've already built a template that is on its way to becoming my first sellable info-product. And of course, I started creating my own lead magnet, which will probably be a summary of this lead magnet building process. So - if you, too, are a barefoot shoemaker, perhaps you can also let your audience pay for the privilege of coming along for the ride as you make your own shoes.

@Chris Dyson yep. It might seem less exciting than putting up a sales page for a brand new $10K offer, but digging deeper on what you're already doing is often more effective in the long run
