Stop Overthinking Your Book and Just Publish
One of the reasons I personally love self-publishing with Amazon KDP is because your book does NOT have to be perfect before you hit publish. A lot of new authors get stuck overthinking every little detail and delaying their launch because they feel like everything has to be flawless from day one. The truth is… you can always improve your book later. With Amazon KDP, you can go back in and update: - Your manuscript - Your book cover - Your listing description and keywords - Your A+ Content This means your first version does not have to be your final version. As you learn more, improve your branding, better understand your audience, or gather feedback, you can continue optimizing your book over time. The ONE thing that gets locked in on paperback publishing is your book title and subtitle, so make sure you spend extra time thinking through that part before publishing. But outside of that? Your book can evolve. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop waiting for perfection and just get your book out into the world. You can improve it as you grow. 🚀

@Krista Brea how often have you seen a redesign of a cover be a significant boost? Just curious. I created by original cover which I think if good enough, but it definitely lacks any true creativity.
Just connecting...
I joined this group because I need to get my book on Amazon I wrote over 10 years ago and have been using as a lead magnet. SO DUMB! I also need to get workshops I've done with their planners on Amazon in book format. I have to do this, time can go like sand through an hourglass and I've got to make a schedule as an appointment with myself and put the time in I need to. If anyone else wants to be accountable I'd be so happy to show up and check in. Thanks for listening.

What Books Did You Read in Childhood?
📚 Throwback Question: What Did You Read as a Kid? I was thinking back to my childhood reading habits, and it hit me how different they were compared to what I read now. Back then, I was all about fun, fictional books—anything that kept me entertained and pulled me into a story. One of my favorites was the Goosebumps series. I used to fly through those books as a pre-teen. And then when the Goosebumps show came out, it was such a cool experience seeing those stories come to life. I remember noticing how some parts were different from what I had imagined while reading—which made it even more fun. It really made me realize how powerful storytelling is… especially when it sticks with you years later. Now I’m curious—what about YOU? - What books or series did you love growing up? - Were you into fiction, or something totally different? - Did any of those stories stick with you into adulthood? Drop your favorites below 👇 Let’s take a little trip down memory lane.

Have you guys ever hear of GoodNightReads? https://goodnightreads.co/reader-info-referred-by?recordId=recoqEeNlxIgMbV94 That is my referral link. It simply gives you readers who review your book in exchange for you reading other books. It’s kind of like a barter system and no money is exchanged! By clicking on my referral, I’ll receive credits for more books to be read! Here is an example of a review I recently received! And reviewers will often share it to Goodreads as well!

You published your book… now what? 🤔
Most people think publishing is the finish line. It’s not—it’s actually just the beginning. If your book is sitting on Amazon without a next step for your readers… you’re leaving money and opportunities on the table. 📅 Tomorrow at 2:30 PM Central We’ve got a live event you don’t want to miss. We’re joined by Shannon Boyer, who’s going to break down how to turn your book into a top-of-funnel asset that keeps working for you long after someone finishes reading. Inside this session, you’ll learn: - What happens after someone reads your book - How to guide readers into your world (without feeling salesy) - Simple ways to turn readers into leads, clients, or community members This is the missing piece most authors never think about. 👉 Check the calendar and make sure you’re there live—everyone is welcome!
