MacBook programs
So I just received my MacBook and I’m totally lost on what to do and how to set it up. I’ve had an iPhone for a few years but I still run everything on google and whatnot not safari. So I guess I’m mainly asking my classmate for help on which apps I should get if I’m doing college for Computer Science and AI Business pathways because I have no clue where to start but I really want to start coding and trying to build my own helpers and programs. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

@Maestro Collective thanks I was thinking about doing just that but wanted advice just in case. I literally sat outside and paced all day waiting to get this laptop befor I start this weeks courses because I’ve been wanting to learn to do it all on the Mac vs windows/linux. Thanks! I’m excited and can’t wait to see how far I can make it!

Does anyone else keep getting kicked out in the middle of review sessions in the practice tab, or is it just me? It happens every time I feel like I am understanding something better or figure something out too 😫😫😫

So Far... June 1 2026 --------> 2 May 4 2026 ---------> 1 April 6 2026 ----------> 19 March 2 2026 --------> 12 February 2 2026 ------> 7 January 5 2026 ------> 5 December 1 2025 ------> 1 September 3 2025 ------> 1 October 2025 --------> 2 Also, unfortunately, now that we have different years, I will have to add a year to the tabs for the different cohorts, so we can't have the fancy names anymore... My apologies, especially to those who voted! We still have way more confirmed cohort counts to get, so please comment your cohort date and year for me when you get the chance, and thank you so much, guys! ❤️

So I just got my email about the student email and everything went very smoothly and now I am all set up! Hope everyone’s experience with it went well! Next up for me is financial aid! I will keep you guys posted 🫡

@Maestro Collective oh nice I didn’t know about that I just finished term one and waiting to hopefully get the paperwork to recieve a laptop because my laptop 8 years old and isn’t running so good for trying to code and program but I probably won’t get anything till next week when the grades show up

That one’s pretty good however I started using this one befor I started college to help with the basic and I think it’s pretty good too.

@Maestro Collective yeah I liked it, it gave pretty good hands on training while your doing so as well I had to wait through December and January to start in February and kind of hyperfixated on it now I could finish the lessons easily but I’m trying to pace myself so far it’s going good I was also lucky to have help from someone who helped me get Ubuntu set up on my laptop and it’s been going so much smoother since
