Financial Aid
Has anyone from the April 6th cohort received a disbursement yet? We are now due for our second one and all Mae ever tells me is the same shit about heightened monitoring causing delays. Has anyone actually talked to someone or received a timeline? I am starting to go into freak out mode because I am in financial dire straights after waiting over 3 months for something that shouldn't have taken more the 2 weeks to clear.

I just got my confirmation paper today and some others did and they said it had to be in before the 15th so first disbursements are coming

No I mean the title IV thing they put in my to-do list, another student made a post earlier today about it too, which can only mean it's coming soon
SUNDAY REFLECTION πŸͺž:
Rate your week 1–10 on: - Coursework progress - Building/projects - Mindset & focus - Community engagement Average score = your week's "Build Score." Drop your number below + ONE thing you'll improve next week. This is how we level up β€” measure, reflect, adjust.

I know the OGs know this already but for the newbies asking when they will receive disbursements, you will not receive any funds until after you have signed this balance authorization form. It just states that you either want the excess funds to go back to federal aid or it goes to you. If it goes to you you will have to pay the funds back as it is a LOAN. You don’t need to reach out to the school to get this form it will come when it’s supposed to as there are people ahead of you who are also waiting. I started in June and I’m now receiving this form. They only process one batch per month not sure how many students at a time. I’m confident that they are doing their best to get everyone situated in a timely fashion. However I would suggest that if you’ve been in program for 4 months+ with no movement you should reach out.

πŸš€ Shaping the Direction of This Community β€” Your Input Matters
We’ve grown to over 300 members, and that doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a reflection of individuals who are serious about improving, building, and moving forward with intention. My priority is making sure this community delivers real value to every single person here β€” not just noise, but direction, clarity, and results. To do that properly, I need your input. Take a moment and answer the questions below so I can better align what we’re building with what actually helps you win: 1. What is your #1 goal right now? (Be specific β€” income, skills, business, career, etc.) 2. What challenges are currently holding you back? 3. What type of content would help you the most? Step-by-step guides, Live breakdowns, Q&A sessions, Resources/tools, Accountability systems? 4. How do you prefer to learn? (Short-form, deep dives, live sessions, etc.) 5. What would make this community undeniably valuable for you? 6. Are you here to build something, learn a skill, network, or all three? We are paying attention to every response and using it to shape what comes next. The stronger we build this foundation now, the more powerful this group becomes β€” for everyone in it. Let’s get to work. Just about 2 weeks left before this thing kicks off! πŸ’ͺβœŠπŸŽ‰

🧠 Mindset Check:
What's the limiting belief you had about coding/AI when you started β€” and what proved it wrong? For me it was: "I'm not technical enough to build real things." Then I started writing code that actually worked. Then I built systems. Then I got paid for them. Turns out "technical" isn't who you are. It's what you DO. Drop yours πŸ‘‡
