Latest on stipend I received this in email today
Dear Melissa, As Maestro College withdraws from federal student aid programs, we are committing our resources to supporting students throughout the teach-out period. Below are two steps we are taking to support you and an update on your pending disbursement. 1. The stipend you received The College has decided to absorb the cost of the $1,979 stipend you received on September 3, 2026, which was paid from institutional funds. We will not seek federal reimbursement and are asking the U.S. Department of Education to cancel the related loan record. If the Department approves, you will keep the money without having to repay it. The loan remains on your federal record unless the Department approves cancellation. We will email you when it confirms its decision. In the meantime, we ask you to let us know how you would like to handle the stipend. Please complete this form to select one of the following two options: 1. Keep the stipend as student assistance. You may accept the funds as assistance from Maestro College, with no obligation to repay the College. Please confirm your acceptance through the form. 2. Voluntarily return the stipend. If you would prefer to return the funds so they can be made available to assist other students in need, please indicate this in the form. We will contact you to arrange a repayment plan. 2. My pending disbursement was canceled it said. I got nothing. I waited and waited for them to say, nope never mind. I applied for the Student assistance fund... That money was my mortgage for October (which is now late) and November. I took reduced hours at work, assuming my disbursement would come, and now it won't be and I'm screwed. I'm praying they accept my application for it. I was so upset yesterday when I got the email I was bawling my eyes out. If they had just said that we wouldn't get it, it would have been different. But, I got assured like 7 times that everything was fine, it was in before the cutoff and I'd get it. Bunch of crap.

I am so glad to be on this breath of fresh air of a course; I definitely needed a break from coding and JavaScript! 😭😂

I thought that too - until I got into the course, lol! While the content itself is not hard, the reviews that you have to do involve SOOO much writing and creative thinking that it almost drove me insane. Especially when you take the reviews and you get feedback and it tells you everything you could have done to get full credit on the question... it made me so mad, lol. For the first week, I kept doing the review over and over again until I got full credit, even though it doesn't change your grade or anything since its pass/fail - but it helped for when I took the final and you are only going to be able to submit once. Good luck!! PS - I have some notes and study guides I made for this class as well. These were some of my more primitive ones and early creations, so they aren't as polished as my more current ones. But, if you'd like them, I am happy to send them.... it'd be good for at least one other person to get some use out of them 🙂

I am staying at Maestro
Well after a lot of consideration I have decided to stay with Maestro and get my ASSOCIATES in Ai Software Engineering. This was my goal from the beginning and none of the other schools that were in the teach out plan offered a Ai course anyway so after going over everything and Maestro sent me my new schedule I have decided to stay. In all honesty I never wanted to leave I like the teaching structure I like everything about the academic part of Maestro. I love my peers. So here I am I am scheduled to graduate by June 7, 2027 sooner if I finish sooner. I am HAPPY!!

@Adrian Wilde I have not and am also waiting - it was supposed to be the end of September and the response I got back from student services is that everything is approved, but moving through verification and they can't confirm when the payment will be... so, I dunno...

FE102 - Building Interactive UI's - Study Guide
Hello! For anyone that has taken or will be taking FE102 - Building Interactive UI's... I have a study guide that I used various tools to create (Claude and Gemini) based on notes that I took during each lesson. It is a comprehensive study guide for all 4 weeks of lessons. I have individual weekly ones as well, but they are not as in depth as this compilation. I know how hard this course was for me, so, if there is anyone that would like the study guide, please let me know and I can email it to you. 🙂
