An update on your studies and our accreditation status
Hi Antonio, We are writing to share an important update regarding Maestro College's accreditation status and what it means for you as a current student. Maestro College has been placed on Show Cause Status by its accreditor, the Council on Occupational Education (COE). Show Cause is a restrictive accreditation status assigned by the Commission when serious compliance concerns have been identified and the institution must demonstrate why its accreditation should be continued. Maestro College remains accredited while COE reviews the institution's response and supporting documentation. Basis for the Show Cause Order On March 30, 2026, the Executive Committee of the Commission authorized an Unannounced Focused Visit (UFV) to Maestro College following the receipt of four formal complaints within a four-month period. The complaints asserted allegations related to the institution's disclosure of its accreditation status, monitoring and proctoring requirements for online coursework, the communication and availability of institutional policies and procedures, student access to grades and academic information, levels of direct interaction between students and institutional personnel, and the institution's use of artificial intelligence in communications and student support services. The Unannounced Focused Visit was conducted on April 20–21, 2026. Following its review, the Commission identified several areas of concern, including consistency in institutional and program information, continued monitoring of financial resources, and the institution's failure to satisfy the COE eligibility requirement that at least twenty-five percent (25%) of its Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) enrollment be derived from traditional campus-based instruction. The Commission determined that Maestro College's growth in distance education programs substantially exceeded growth in traditional campus-based instruction and that the institution does not currently satisfy this eligibility requirement.

Disbursement for January Cohorts
Any January cohorts get their third disbursement yet? I was hoping today since the March 23rd one came on March 27th. If I went by that, it should be today. The first obviously was delayed, but, yeah .. second was right on time. Crossing my fingers.

Maestro acting weird lately
Has anyone else noticed Mae talking different/weird today? Up until yesterday, during lessons, I had gotten used to the normal back and forth pattern that we have established. The tone and flow of the lessons were generally the same. I didn't change any of my learning settings (like where you can choose how Mae teaches), but the last lesson I did, it seemed different. I can't put it to words what is different, I just know that it is, lol. I don't know... just wondering if anyone else noticed this. Also, I mentioned something in the lesson about my discussion post for this week and Mae offered to draft the response for me - I thought this was super weird because discussion posts are supposed to be my own words.
AutoLecture For Maestro v1.6 (Windows Only for now) (MacOS coming soon!)
https://github.com/FrontLines/AutoLecture-for-Maestro/releases If anyone else wishes the prompts from the AI teacher would just auto read aloud, this might help. After the first lesson, I was feeling a lack of immersion. I didn't like scrolling to the bottom of every lesson section of prompts and hit the read aloud button and wait a second for it to start. It has 9 voices built-in. It doesn't require the cloud. The installer is around 700mb because all the Piper voice models are offline. It won't need internet for any of the text-to-speech. Just download the installer and follow the instructions. All the source files except for the voice models themselves are on the github. Nothing is stored in the app, no lessons are downloaded. Everything is built with Maestro's Terms Of Service in mind. I hope they will build auto-read aloud into the Personalize section eventually.

@James Hart it does do voice now, but you have to initiate it after each chat message Mae sends. Maybe this automatically reads each thing out loud when Mae sends it?
Object Oriented Programming Class
So, I just finished the OOP class - anyone else? Got a 100 on the final exam and I am stoked! I also really enjoyed the first wrap up session - it was coding a small library check out system and it felt like actual coding this time, rather than just snippets. Just thought I'd share :)
