Finally worked on this fall scene a little more. Hopefully a little better than the first post. I worked on the creek bed edge so it’s not so straight. Worked on the rocks some more and made the tree in the foreground a little bigger.

Painted in gouache from a photo taken during a winter holiday. Small painting 20cmw x 15cm. The water in the foreground was very difficult to paint - and the sky is far too "busy" (how can I soften edges in gouache?), but I enjoyed the painting process. I mistakenly thought this would be fairly straightforward - it wasn't.

Here is my attempt to make this painting a little better. I worked on the creek bed edge so it wouldn’t be so straight and worked on the rocks a little more and made the tree in the foreground a little bigger. Did that help? Should I say “Done!” with this one?

I think I feel pretty “done” with this one… finally.
