Every morning I wake up, step on the scale, and check in. I do it to plan my day. I look at what happened yesterday, because that's the best time to make adjustments. Most people never take that time to put themselves first, and that's exactly why I check in with you each morning. Today I want to share something happening in your body right now that you never think about: your circulatory system. What it does - Delivers oxygen and nutrients to every tissue - Acts as your waste disposal system, clearing out what your body doesn't need - Runs on roughly 60,000 miles of arteries, veins, and capillaries, enough to circle the Earth more than twice Here's what matters for your journey Every pound of fat has to be fed. Your body literally builds new capillaries to supply that tissue with blood, which means your heart has to push blood through more vessels. That is real, physical strain on your heart, and it's a major reason people suffer heart attacks and strokes. Now flip it around. When you lose 0.2 lbs, 0.3 lbs, half a pound, or a full pound, your heart has less to supply. Its job gets easier, and it can put more energy into repairing and restoring your vital organs, tissues, and muscles. So on the days you think... - "I've only lost half a pound." - "I've only lost 10 pounds." Remember: that is tissue your heart no longer has to feed. That's not "only." That's your heart getting relief, and your whole body getting more of its energy back for healing. Your action step today Do your morning check-in. Weigh in, look at yesterday, and plan today.
