Running, running, running
I'm Running, running, running this morning, yet made time for my 10 min of meditation and 21 min of Smile Tai Chi. I'm smiling and my body is thanking me. The meditation helped to ground me and slow me down. The Tai Chi left my entire body feeling stretched and gently worked, and his smile is contagious. Making time for me sure feels good. ๐Ÿ˜

Too much on my calendar
I'm finding that I need to start this year out by giving myself most all of my time so that I can concentrate on what I need to do. I have too much on my calendar right now but I can change that soon. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Hi Pam & Sadiq, I'm finding myself in a similar situation. My full- time job as a social services supervisor takes a lot of my time and leaves me mentally exhausted at the end of the day. Since I've been back from my 3-week vacation my sleep schedule has been off. It's just starting to regulate and get back to my previous routine of sleep by 9pm & up by 5am. I haven't been successful at doing all my intentions daily, yet I'm doing my best and getting better at managing my schedule every day. It's not easy, yet I know it's possible. Let's keep working it out Pam. We'll get there. ๐Ÿ˜„
Heading back home...
Hello community members, I'm heading back home after traveling in Asia for 3 weeks. John, my fiance and I, have been to Thailand, Vietnam, and now we're in Phillipines. We're leaving Siquijor Island today back to the mainland and heading back to the states tomorrow. It's been an amazing journey. We've gathered a lot of Intel to help us do more discoveries as we look for our retirement home that we'll move to, or if the US, in the next couple of years. It's been a struggle at times to stay consistent with eating clean and getting constant movement, yet I've got to day that joining this community had helped me a lot. I've been practicing my morning meditations and stretching, and doing basic and essay tai chi movements as well. Haven't always been able to do the strength training so looking forwarding to doing that 3x week starting Sunday. Stay focused, everyone.
My extended family grieves...
... well it looks like my extended family has lost another son; from not eating well and not exercising well. He died on New Year's Eve.

Hi Pam, that's so sad. Condolences to you and your extended family.
Happy New Years
Now that you have stated your intentions for the new year, now let go of any pressure to achieve them. What!! No pressure? Thatโ€™s right. We are not seeking to achieve an intention, we are intending on becoming the identity of the person that achieves the intention we set. Imagine your child is intending on becoming a poet. Would you place pressure on them to write poetry or would you create the conditions to help the child become creative. You would most likely buy them notebooks, laptops, and poetry books for them to read. Pressure is anxiety to the body. It is an older paradigm that works in the short term, but it is not the solution for sustained creativity and peace. With that mentioned, we are creating the identity of someone different than the person we have been for years. This person may be healthier, more grounded, athletic, peaceful, loving. Once you have awareness of the identity you are working towards, than you can start to create the conditions for this identity. If you are wanting to eat healthier, you would buy more natural foods. If you are wanting to be more athletic, you would purchase a gym membership. If you wanted to be more peaceful, you would have a meditation practice. Pressuring yourself to be something or achieve something is not our intention. This community is surrounded around compassion and support so you can feel seen and supported on your journey towards becoming someone you are proud of. That means accepting who you are now! And creating the intention to move towards the future self. Now that you have written down your 2026 intentions, rewrite them from the stand point of what is the identity of the person that lives with those goals. Example: I identify as a healthy, peaceful and loving man. Write down your identity in the comments and we will discuss them on the community call tomorrow am.
