PCOS >PMOS for years
Hi everyone! This is a cool platform. I've had PCOS for years and have tried everything/been given the "gold standard" as treatments. But I've always felt like there MUST be pieces missing (besides the lack of research on Women for Women's health conditions). I am excited to learn and hopefully seek some much sought relief of my symptoms that could actually last!

Welcome Emanuela! It's nice to meet to you! Ihope you're able to improve, there's a lot of great resources in this group.
I’m dealing with heart palpitations.
I just completed an echo, and 24 EKG which both came back normal. My ferritin was at 10, in 30 days I got it to 26. I’m still working to get it to 60 or 70. I also have a cherry size fibroid in the muscle of my uterus. I’ve been dealing with the palpitations for 4 years which has caused me to have bad anxiety. I need help, should I get an iron infusion?

@Dr. Stephanie Dunlop I'm just an onlooker but thank you for this reply, it definitely helps me too with getting a better idea of what is going on.Things are pointing more and more towards my gut not absorbing thing properly.
Recommendations
Do you have any good recommendations for low vitamin D and low Ferritin levels? I think I need to start there and then build from that place but I don’t know if supplements would help enough to get me to an optimal level with where my levels are right now. I’ve been taking 1000-2000 IU of vitamin D supplements but from what I have been reading that doesn’t seem to be high enough. My numbers have only gone from 17-23 taking that for over a year and a half. No one told me my iron was low so I haven’t addressed that yet.

@Fredrika Ternelius Iron bisglycinate actually reduces the side effects that you'd get from other iron such as the prescription ones. It is also easier for the body to absorb, taking it with Vit C also helps the uptake as iron relies on Vit C.

@Katy Horton You're welcome! Oh also, magnesium is often absorbed better topically or also have a look at the many many types of magnesium if topically irritates your skin. Bisglycinate is the better absorbed version as well but each form has its own strengths. For instance citrate is great for those who struggle with constipation, bisglycinate for sleep, malate for muscles and joints/inflammation. It's really quite fascinating!
Bloodwork speaking
I am so excited to share that my bloodwork is trending in the right direction! I was able to pinpoint changes in what I a eating with the help of Dr.Stephanie's food list and it is yielding positive changes in my A1C and my LDL Cholesterol 💪🏾
