There Is No Perfect Chair for Your Shoulder Pain
One of the most common things people say to me when we start talking about their shoulder pain is: โ€œBut my setup is good. Iโ€™ve had an ergonomic assessment.โ€ And I understand why that feels reassuring. But human bodies arenโ€™t designed to stay fixed in one position for hours at a time, no matter how supportive the chair is. They adapt to the environment they spend most of their time in. Thatโ€™s why so many women who already do yoga, Pilates, strength work, or exercise are starting to feel the old equation stop working. The hour spent working on the body no longer fully buffers the effects of the other 95% of the day. Thatโ€™s the conversation behind my upcoming workshop: SIT ACTIVE: Make the 95% Work for Your Body Thursday 21 May 12.00 BST Weโ€™ll look at how desk life shapes the body, why shoulder pain keeps returning, and how to bring more movement, awareness, and variation into the workday itself. And if this is a conversation youโ€™re interested in, youโ€™re very welcome inside my free community, Bodywork Lab See you there Carrie

@Darlene G Yes ๐Ÿ™Œ I always recommend moving your work station around the house, giving your body, and your mind, some variety. That sounds good. Is your sore area your shoulders?

@Amy Grantham So true! A lot of frustrated people invest in the 'best' chair...and still in pain. We'll get into that- so happy you're coming....or will catch the replay! โค๏ธ
Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! ๐Ÿ˜‰ After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. ๐Ÿ˜Š Please add your introduction in the comments below! โฌ‡๏ธ

@Melissa Boher Jacobson Ahh, it is, and I don't want to wish it away but it's certainly time for my eldest at least to move out. He may not go far when he eventually manages to leave.. I do feel for you with that distance! Lots of travelling to keep up!

The CLASSIFIEDS Premium Tier - Everything You Need to Know!
If you are already on the Premium tier and want to know how to make the most of it, or are thinking about upgrading, here is everything you need to know... โญ๏ธ ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ In the Standard tier, you can post in the community once a day in any category (except for days with a hashtag prompt, then you get an extra post!). There are two kinds of acceptable community posts: "anything" promoting your Skool group, or offers that are free (freebies, free workshops, podcast promotions, your own YouTube channel promotions). You can see the list of categories in the How It Works pinned post. These "rules" are for both standard and premium members. ๐ŸŒŸ ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Now for the additional benefits for Premium members ($3/month or $33/year) 1. Premium members are allowed to put an "ad" in the classroom to advertise anything they want - free or paid. The ad stays up for as long as they are a premium member. Ads rotate weekly. ๐Ÿ“ฐ You can place your ad by creating a draft course in your own community and then copying the course key and sending it to me to copy into the Classifieds. Course keys can be found by going to the thumbnail of the course in your classroom and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. 2. Premium members also have access to all live events on the calendar. This includes meetups twice a month (called the PERSONALS) and open drop-ins once a month. ๐Ÿ“† The meetups are structured and focus on improving your visibility as well as helping you make connections and foster collaboration. 3. Premium members also have the opportunity to host their own free masterclass for all members on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar. This gives you the chance to provide value to the members and then pitch your group or product at the end. ๐Ÿ’ต In order to qualify to host a masterclass, you have to first take my How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass workshop ($27). The next one is being offered on May 12 with doors opening for registration May 9th.. After taking the prerequisite workshop, the first masterclass you offer is of no charge. Subsequent masterclasses that you would like to offer will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.

@Jewels Sherriff me too!
๐Ÿ”ฅ 15 weeks. 654 members. 43 new members every single week.
57 to 62% engagement rate. Consistently. I didnโ€™t believe those numbers were possible when I started this journey. Our members proved me wrong. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s actually happening inside Crust and Crumb Academy. Our Saturday Bake-Alongs generate over 7,000 interactions in a single thread each week. Likes, comments, encouragement, troubleshooting, wins, fails, all of it. That kind of activity is what earned us our star on Skool.โญ But the thing I look forward to most every week isnโ€™t Saturday. Itโ€™s Sunday. Every Sunday I write a recap of the bake-along the way ESPN recaps a game I missed. Play by play. All highlights and no commercials. Every member who showed up gets mentioned by name. Itโ€™s long. Itโ€™s funny. Itโ€™s informative. And when you read it you feel like you were there, at the game. When you participated you feel seen. Everyone wants to see their name in print and my job is to make sure the ones doing the work get the spotlight they deserve. Last month I started a monthly roll call. Every member, new or veteran, re-introduces themselves. A paragraph that tells us whatโ€™s going on in their life. What theyโ€™re baking. We talk in passing every day in the chat but, we donโ€™t really know each other that way. Oh your bread looks nice, beautiful score, nice oven spring. Thatโ€™s not conversation. Turns out when you give people permission to open up they will. 654 members. Over 400 comments from members in that one introduction thread. Thatโ€™s engagement. We also reach out to every new member personally. The application asks a question: what do you hope to learn or gain as a baker by joining the Academy? We use that answer to connect them with a specific classroom resource, a lesson, a recipe, something that speaks directly to what they came here for. Members who had never said a word in the community reply to those DMs. Now theyโ€™re involved.
