[ALIVE] Pool party + "I endorse YOU" auction
Welcome WELCOME The pool party is ON. You can find the margaritas and soft drinks over in the corner... ... the DJ has set up and is playing already... ... and after you've had a chance to dip yourself in the pool, and as the party heats up... ... perhaps you'd like to also take a look at this little offer I am making? The offer in a peanut shell: I am offering to take the winning bidder — let's imagine it's you — and... 1. To give you a NAME and credibility on the Internet, along with MY FULL ENDORSEMENT, and... 2. To DRIVE MY RESPONSIVE READERS to the optin for your list, and... 3. To work with you and co-create a SEXY ACQUISITION FUNNEL (free giveaway + paid thank-you page offer), which you can use to build up your email list AND make money on day zero by turning new subscribers into buyers right away, plus... 4. I'm guaranteeing, with my two hands, that if you win this auction you will MAKE BACK 100% OF YOUR MONEY before I'm done endorsing and promoting you. Again, I will send out a dedicated email to endorse you and your offer, and to drive my audience to you. If you don't recoup all your investment with that first email I send, I will keep sending more dedicated emails, for as long as it takes, to promote and endorse you until you do recoup your winning bid. (If needed, we will also keep working together to tweak your funnel to make sure the right people sign up AND turn into buyers.) That's the little auction offer I'm making, for you to consider while you baste in my pool. I'm also offering a few POOL PARTY FAVORS if you happen to win the auction: 1. Wine and tapas on me whenever you get to Barcelona. (I know a good place around the corner from my new apartment, in the Gothic quarter. Once you finish with the pool and dry off, we can head over there.) 2. A list of newsletters you can run ads in, so they drive their own readers to you, and so you can keep growing your list at breakeven or at a profit, regularly, month after month. (And yes, you can approach these newsletter owners and tell them, "John Bejakovic already endorsed this offer... and his audience loved it.")

Announcing: Daily Email House weekly contest [Last day!]
UPDATE: Today is the last day to enter this week's Daily Email House contest. Fabulous renown and mysterious prizes await the winner! Read the details below, and then submit your own entry: ==== Announcing: Daily Email House weekly contest A new 7 day experiment. Let's see how it goes. If it's successful, we'll repeat it week to week. If not, I'll sneak out at night and bury it in the back yard. Contest rules: 1. The contest runs from now until next Tuesday at 12pm midnight 2. You participate in the contest by writing a comment below 3. In the comment, report on a success you've had from an email you've sent this week, and include a screenshot of that email so we can read a part of it 4. A "success" can be anything meaningful to you: a sale, an inquiry from a prospect, a reply from a reader, some surprising opportunity that came from it, or simply the fact that you sent out the day's email, and ticked that off your list 5. One entry per person/family/clan 6. I'll decide the winner using proprietary Bejako algorithms, which have been trained on massive data sets to reward and motivate honest and inspiring results 7. The winner will get 1) the status of "Prime Emailer" for the week, which comes with great prestige, influence, and soft power, and 2) a mystery gift which I will pay to ship to your house. (Hint: it's something I've been mentioning without naming in my emails for the past week, because I have found it so mind-expanding, and because I want to guard it personally for myself, and maybe you, if you win this contest). Whenever you're ready, post your contest submission in the comments belo

HUGE success. I sent an email to my list yesterday. This is a win because the last one I sent was in Feb this year.
(1/∞) The last time you ever did something for the first time
My friend Marci has a note on his phone that's titled: "The last time I did something for the first time" In this note go things he's done for the first time, plus the date that he did it. A few PG-rated examples: March 2. First time eating jelly fish March 8. First time going to midget boxing March 10. Swimming with a million sardines June 7. Pickleball June 19. First time I tried an electric bike August 23. First time I saw a Lamborgini Countach It's a great habit to keep track of this, and something I started doing also. Not only does keeping track of this make life more interesting, both during (encourages you to try new stuff, like eating jelly fish) and after (helps you remember that your life is indeed rich, or richer than you think)... ... but it's useful if you are trying to use your email list to pay for a house. As Samuel Johnson said back in the 18th century: "Novelty, great novelty, is the soul of an email newsletter" (I mean, it's called a NEWS-letter...) "Great novelty" doesn't mean you have to have something tremendously important to share, just as long as it's new. So let's play a game. What's the last time you ever tried... a new drink? I'll go first to give you an idea. Last week I went into a Mexican restaurant around the corner from my new apartment. I didn't feel like drinking beer. So I ordered something called an agua fresca. There were different flavors (I had tried a few previously), but this time I chose pineapple, for the first time ever. I don't know what an agua fresca de piña is made from, and I probably don't wanna know (water, sugar, and artificial pineapple flavoring?). But it was delicious. And had I not been thinking right now about the last time I ever tried something for the first time, specifically a drink... odds are this experience would have disappeared into the darkness of the past. Now your turn? Comment below and share the last time you tried a drink for the first time?

I had a non-acoholic bitter orange aperitif with edible glitter on 14 November. Can you see it in the video? It was delicious. Not too sweet, just how I like it. Kiddo is singing something in the background lol
A confidence problem
I recently put a new page on my website called "Client Love", which features screenshots of feedback I've gotten from clients. And I noticed that there was a lot of really, really enthusiastic feedback there. Like multiple "wows", "I'm amazed," and "blown away." Here's my problem: despite this great feedback, there's this niggling little worm in my brain constantly whispering, "You're not really good enough." This is problematic because it's difficult to sell myself as THE answer to my ideal client's problem... if I myself doubt that it is true. I guess my question is - anyone have any ideas how to get past this hump? Why is feedback from my own clients not convincing me? How do I convince myself that my work is valuable, so I can more successfully convince others of this, so that they hire me?

You can't "fix" an internal thing with external things. Internal being how you think (which then leads to how you feel) about yourself as an XYZ. And External being the folder full of glowing testimonials, thought work, affirmations etc. These are important and have their place for sure, but it's not sustainable. Because a part of you will always question the validity of the evidence. What you could do instead, is just accept the thoughts and beliefs (which are really only thoughts at their essence) as they are and resist the urge to push them away. It's often the case that this resistance to what appears or what is causes just as much, if not more, distress. You have the initial stress of feeling and believing you're not ____ enough and then the secondary stress of pushing those thoughts and feelings away. Easier said than done, especially if your nervous system is frazzled or you're chronically dysregulated. If this is the case, I'd go about it another way completely: through the body. - Find an activity that involves movement, nature, and slight increase of the heart rate that is soothing and nourishing for you - Rest more - Spend time on your hobbies / passion - Spend time with humans and animals that make you feel safe and loved - Have fun (WTF is that you say? Well, it's clear you need to explore different ways to play and remember what it's like to feel fun= - Experiment with some lymphatic drainage exercises (tons of different routines on YouTube) - Drink less coffee, reduce your sugar intake and all the stimulants that stress out your adrenals (incorporate more legumes for extra brownie points) All these things will help to regulate your nervous system and pump out stress hormones. When you're activated it's really hard for you to see your thoughts for what they truly are: thoughts (NOT reality or evidence for what is).

@Chavy Helfgott yes, looking after yourself with non-work activities is so productive!! I'm pretty sure you're successful already (I know every one has their own definition of it). The question is, do you want to be present enough to enjoy that success? I remember the good ol' days when I used to be a copywriter/marketer and I was "successful" by all metrics except for the one that truly mattered to me. Turns out copywriting was a necessary detour I had to take before I arrived at my current culdesac lol!
