@Gloria Murphy thank you, it's reflecting my mood at that moment 😁

@Gloria Murphy true, the mood works in most of the cases. Attemts to follow inctructions without mood ends up as a technically good drawing mostly.
My rendition of Mt. Talbot
Although this is not complete, I thought this might be my last chance to post a painting. This work is on paper. The paper is primed with latex paint and my own homemade gesso. It is a composition of 2 of Sam’s compilations of Mount Talbot. I have not started the final highlights and details yet, especially in the water. My own critique is that sky is way to blue and not enough shadows/contrast in the rocks. (The light is coming from the right.) Also maybe too much repetition in the rocks on the left. As usual, I would appreciate some constructive feedback.

@Joe Taylor very well done. The sky is just too uniform, lower part should not be that blue and right side where the sun is shoul be lighter and whiter. The most remote mountains lacking some bluish tint as well. Perhaps foreground rocks need a bit more contrast mostly with lights lighter, darks seem OK. Wet rocks in the river may have under the sun very bright spots almost purely white.

Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that I'll be closing this community shortly. I've been running this free community for over two years, and I'm grateful to everyone who's been part of it. Alongside this, I've been teaching inside Sam's Landscape Painting School, where a few months ago I extended the live painting classes to a full two hours every Monday NZ time (Sunday USA) on Zoom. Moving forward, I want to focus all my energy on Sam's Landscape Painting School and the students within it. If you've been thinking about joining, now is a great time — right now there's a FREE 7-day trial available until Monday 25th May. You can find out more here: https://go.samuelearp.com/landscape-painting-school If you've previously purchased any products or membership access through this group, I'll be reaching out to you personally with something special. Thanks for being part of this community. I hope to see some of you inside Sam's Landscape Painting School. Happy painting Sam

It is a pity that this community will cease to exist. It's one of the best probably among free ones. I will finitely miss all fellow members and our nice works, as well as opportunity to discuss and help each other for free.
Quick one
@Peggy Bishop it was a fun. Thanks. Not very happy with the result but at least I made it within video duration. Kind of sketch, good idea for watercolor plein air. BTW, it's made with extremely cheap but surpisingly usable for a price Crelando watercolor kit from Lidl on the cheapest Daler Rowney Aquafine watercolor paper.

@Patrick McSherry thanks, it's just a 20 min. exercise following the tutorial video regarding use of backwash with watercolor. Everyone can do it. Just try.

@Sarah Lankry thank you
Yet another Tuscany puzzle.
Also watercolor, cold pressed paper. This one probably not that easy to guess, but there is an extremely famous building to the right from viewer who actually stays just next to that building.
Yet another Tuscany puzzle.
