Lunch- nothing Dinner 6pm- aunts house with extended family - small side of salad with Olive Garden Italian dressing - Piece of lasagna - size of my fist Feeling- Frustrated. There wasn’t a healthy option. Don’t usually eat pasta since I’ve been low carb since January. Rate pasta a 2. I don’t like that I can’t pin point how many calories I ate. Makes me feel out of control. Went for a 4 mile walk with weighted vest once the kids went to bed. I usually only walk 2, but while walking I was having a lot of negative self talk so I kept going until it stopped. Just feeling dumb. Not sure if I should keep posting these. Having a mentally frustrating night.

Is posting helping you? If so, keep doing it. You are not dumb by any means.

I have faith in you girl!
Happy Tuesday.
Every year I make posters to motivate my students while they take their end of the year state tests. Felt myself relating to them alot today while “actively monitoring” , so I thought I would share with the rest of the class.
Happy Tuesday.

I remember watching this powerful video. I also remember that a couple days later driving up the road and someone dangerously cut me off. These words immediately came to mind. I kept repeating to myself, ride the wave, ride the wave. It calmed me instantly. So instead of doing what I would have in the past, I just let him and the situation go. Instead of cussing him out, instead of trying to prevent him from accomplishing whatever his mission was, I remained calm and avoided a potential accident. Then I began to rethink his intent, maybe he had an emergency. I’ll never know. As a side note, about 5 miles further up the road, I ended up next to him at a red light. I was calm and he was slamming his hands against his steering wheel. Powerful lesson and technique learned.
Monday Mentality
Hey squad, So, I’ve been traveling. I’ve been away from my home since March 25th and arrived this morning, May 11, at 3am — a total of 47 days. And the biggest knee-jerk reaction that my mind and body are having is this: - GO GO GO, you’re behind again!! - How could you take so much time away what were you thinking?! - Okay, you’ve got that over there, then this thing, reach out to those people, and then you’ll have to— Full stop. I need you all to recognize that no matter where you’re at on your journey, you’ll always need to find ways to regulate. Perfect relationship? You’ll get triggered and need to regulate. Sleep schedule is solid? You’ll have an off night and need to regulate. Food intake is better than ever? You’ll have a moment of weakness and then need to regulate. So, for me today, I’m not rushing back to the grindstone or the drawing board or getting back to the 5 people who are already contacting me about stuff. This would undo a lot of good that the time away gave me: perspective, slowness, breathing. No. I matter. And so I’m going to stay grounded and rooted for some time and then I will get back to it. Others urgency is not your emergency. Remember that. *and keep it in your own brain’s back pocket for itself sometimes like I have to do with mine today

I don’t know how you did it all. Traveling, posting videos here and all your other platforms, keeping up with the community and doing lives. I’m exhausted just watching what you went through. You need to definitely listen to your own advice and STOP. Give yourself time to breathe. All of us here know the wonderful work you do and how much you care. You have nothing to prove to us. You go above and beyond for us all and it’s greatly appreciated.
