Can someone point me to slope safety and limits for newer operators.
Title ^ Would help I quoted a STEEP property today and was unsure of the entrance to his access. once i got down it leveled out but wow my first instinct was to say i cant make the machine down here but he assured me another skid steer was down there. I am so new i am just not sure its worth the risk. Any tips? Ill upload some pics

@James Louros when dealing with steep slopes you have to be comfortable in the machine. The ctls can handle steep slopes but not knowing your machine and the tipping points with a 3000lb mulcher hanging off the front will get you in trouble. When mulching I prefer mulching up the slope if I can. Keep it closer to the ground and they will amaze you at what they can do. Get some set time in the machine and go slow. Bid accordingly because it will take longer.

If you do not own a piece of equipment yet I would recommend demoing or renting different machines. Everybody has their preference and would base on your personal opinion. I have run Taks, Cat, Kubota, Bobcat and Deere. I personally like Deere for comfort, and performance. These days most machines in the same size are comparable. They all have pluses and negatives so compare and find the machine your comfortable

My Social media content playbook/capcut how to
We launched our socials two weeks ago today. TBH it feels like a year ago. Not going to lie managing social media is a literal full time job itself! We made the commitment to post something on all platforms every single day and we’ve learned a lot of lessons in that short amount of time. I figured I’d share what’s worked and what I’ve learned in doing this in this time. We don’t have a huge following YET, but we are getting new followers every day on all platforms but most importantly we have booked 4 jobs off simple organic posted content, not boosted or ad. I AM NOT AN EXPERT. But I I can save someone the trouble and stress just starting that I went through then it’s a win in my book! Discuss here what works for you if you have a different way of doing anything! I’m all ears. This is trial and error that I’ve found. So where to start…. Film everything. My business partner comes to every single thing we do. Quotes/jobs/equipment maintenance runs. EVERYTHING. We have a camera going constantly. Our top performing video was literally a blooper the camera caught with us screwing around after practicing an ad. If you’re a one man crew it seems weird but buy a phone holder or selfie stick and film. I know it’s weird but DO IT. It’s a pain but also set up a tripod and film yourself in the machine if you don’t have someone who will come with you. Film straight up and down with your phone, not sideways. It transfers to the most platforms that way!!! Buy a good microphone- I bought the Rode Microphone set from Best Buy and they’ve been Awesome. They were $105., they have cheaper ones and more expensive ones. You may think you don’t need a mic but I’m telling you the difference is night and day. Here’s an attachment that plugs into my phone and the mics work and are clear as far as 30 feet away. Also clear Audio inside a machine while running. Mics clip right to my shirt. Practice with CapCut or another video editor I use cap cut. It’s the first one I’ve found and I have just became familiar with it. Important *dont over edit* when you first start editing you’re going to want sick explosions and awesome graphics and all sorts of frill. I went through it too. It doesn’t work. We aren’t machine salesmen, we are selling a service to people who don’t care about the machine or crazy edits.

🚨 LAST CHANCE: Leaderboard Challenge Ends When We Hit 1,000 🚨
We’re at 994 members right now. When this group crosses 1,000, I’m taking a screenshot of the Top 10 on the 30‑Day Leaderboard. Those 10 get: - Private Growth Workshop (closed‑door call for serious operators only) - OWNR OPS Founding Member Swag Box No raffle. If you’re in the Top 10 when we cross 1,000, you win. How To Get LAST‑MINUTE POINTS TODAY Skool tracks the points: 1 point = 1 comment or like from others on YOUR post If you want to climb the board today, do this: Step 1: Answer this: Which video in the Classroom actually pushed you to take action on something? Step 2: Make a post sharing: - What you learned from that video - What you actually implemented (or tried) in your business Step 3: Add the details: - What worked - What didn’t - What you’d do differently next time The more valuable your post is for other operators, the more comments and likes you’ll earn… and the more points you stack before we cross 1,000 today. We’re at 994 now. This will likely tip over by the end of the day, so if you want a shot at Top 10, post today. P.S. Need a prompt? Answer this in a new post: "I learned [INSERT WHAT YOU LEARNED] from the [INSERT VIDEO TRAINING] I took action by implementing [INSERT WHAT YOU IMPLEMENTED] into my business As a result, I [INSERT THE RESULT YOU GOT] (or what you learned from the process of taking action) Moving forward, I will do more of [INSERT WHAT YOU WILL DO MORE OF] and I will do less of [INSERT WHAT YOU WILL DO LESS OF] to take action growing my forestry mulching / land clearing business **Add photo/video for better engagement (ex. video of FB Ad or screenshot of Starter Spreadsheet)** P.S. We will likely cross 1,000 when I log on tmrw morning to approve new members, so today will likely be last day to get points Current Leaderboard: 1. @William Swingle 2. @Zach Taylor 3. @Josh Reaper 4. @Jake Starr 5. @Jacob Neffendorf 6. @Cliff McRae 7. @Jared Morris 8. @Robert Clark 9. @Corey Adams 10. @Kohlton Smith

@Austin Gray i think the crew day pricing template does an excellent job getting the day rate pricing put together whether for a owner operator like myself or with multiple crews. It covers more than I thought about for sure. Excellent for determining minimum job size based on overhead, setup. Now its about bidding jobs correctly on size , density and machine production, etc to make sure jobs are bid for profit and still competitive with each market area. (Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered) as a uncle of mine always tells me when talking business.

@Austin Gray Do you think it is better to line item the mobilization on a quote or just it include it in the clearing line item. Guess question is do you ever have anyone complain about the separate mob charge? I usually do mot add one unless its a extended haul time for the extra fuel.
