How do you plan your weeks?

I stopped planning by day and started planning by energy. The two things that need my actual brain go into my one good focus window, and everything else gets stacked wherever it lands. The change that actually held though: I plan four days, not five. Something always eats the fifth one, so I quit pretending it wouldn't. Wednesday falling apart stopped being a failure and started being the buffer.

I stopped hunting for the perfect system and started planning around what gets protected instead. Two blocks a week that nothing is allowed to touch, and everything else is negotiable. The thing that actually made it stick was writing down what I do NOT do in those blocks, because otherwise I quietly fill them with admin and call it work. Still not perfect at holding the line, but it beats re-sorting the list for the fifth time.

Coffee made for me, no contest. An hour completely alone over the extra hour of sleep, which surprised me when I read it back. And Target with nowhere else to be is not even a fair fight.
The tools I’d want if I were building a business around a busy life
One thing I keep noticing with business advice: a lot of it assumes you have an entire day to execute. But if you're balancing clients, family, caregiving, or a full-time job, the problem usually isn't motivation. It’s having a system that helps you make progress in the small pockets of time you actually have. My current approach is to keep the stack as simple as possible: - ChatGPT — turning rough ideas into clearer plans and getting unstuck faster - Canva — creating client-facing content without spending forever on design - Notion — keeping notes, resources, and business information organized - Floment — keeping projects, daily tasks, progress updates, and community activity closer together instead of scattering everything across different apps The biggest shift for me has been thinking less about “How much can I get done today?” and more about “What’s the most useful thing I can finish with the time I actually have?” That feels a lot more sustainable than trying to copy someone's 12-hour-a-day business routine. For those building a business around real-life responsibilities, what tools or systems have actually made your limited time easier to manage?

What actually fixed my limited-time problem was not a tool. It was writing down what done looks like for the three tasks I repeat most. One finished example each, with "match this" underneath it. Ten minutes total, and it means those tasks can leave my hands without me writing a manual first. The tools only got useful after that. What is the one task you repeat most in a week?

@Tony Iverson that is exactly where the drag hides, because every follow-up feels slightly custom until you line up ten of them and realize they are the same four sections. Mine landed on: what we agreed, what I owe you and by when, what you owe me and by when, and the next date already on the calendar. Everything past that was decoration. What does yours look like?
Freebie for women navigating peri, meno and post menopause
Grab it here: https://heartshipcoach.com/menopause-confidence-reset You need to scroll to the bottom of the page for the optin box... Enjoy the freebie. And I'd love to know if you love it, like it or prefer something else.

You have gone from asking the room where they are in this to having a client and now a freebie, in about two weeks. That is a fast loop and most people never close it. One thing worth watching: put the optin box at the top of the page as well as the bottom. Anyone reading on their phone at 11pm is not scrolling to find it. What are you hoping the freebie leads people into next?
Getting requests from men to join my menopause group
This I did not expect and just posted the question, why? on my facebook page... a little for comic relief but really I didn't understand why... Women giggled and made some smart remarks but one lovely man replied that it might be that men wanted to support their wives through it. So now I'm thinking maybe I'll create a group for men supporting women in menopause... or am I jumping the gun? I guess my real question is how many men asking the question signifies that there is an untapped need there?

A handful of requests is curiosity, not a market. Before you build anything, go back to the men who asked and ask them one question: what do you actually want to know that you cannot find anywhere else? Then count. Three vague replies means novelty. Fifteen men naming the same specific thing means you found a real gap, and their exact words just wrote the resource for you. Much cheaper to test the question than to build the room and hope 🧡
